History

Established in 1993.

Dr. Waldorf is a board-​certified member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the prestigious American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies, medical school, and general surgery training at Georgetown University, followed by a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University and established her business as a plastic surgeon in 1993.

Dr Waldorf enjoys the artistry of plastic surgery and the individualized approach to each patient. Dr. Waldorf is a board-​certified member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the prestigious American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies, medical school, and general surgery training at Georgetown University, followed by a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Dr. Waldorf specializes in a wide range of procedures including facial rejuvenation, breast and body contouring. Dr. Waldorf is also an active member of the Cleft Palate Team at the Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, serving to surgically correct cleft lip and palate deformities. She is committed to continuing her medical education, and stays current with the latest developments in plastic and reconstructive surgery through both the ASAPS and ASPS organizations.

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Waldorf and her staff at the Plastic Surgery Center. She performed a surgery for me that had been botched once before many years earlier by another Doctor. I went in with low expectations based on that experience but really knew this was something I wanted done.
Dr.Waldorf’s staff was very friendly and easy to work with in scheduling and paying for the surgery. There was no stress or confusion that you sometimes see in Doctor’s offices. It really was a first class experience where I got all my needs taken care of quickly.
The procedure itself exceeded my expectations. Dr. Waldorf left virtually no scarring or bruising for such an invasive procedure. I was up and around a day later without issue as a result. The results on my body as it healed in the following weeks was nothing short of spectacular.
I feel like a new person and have much more confidence about myself now. I only wish I had come to her in the first place!

The team here is the best. Friendly, caring and professional, I actually look forward to going to my appointments here. Plastic surgery is very subjective, with each surgeon having their own style. Dr Waldorf took my wants and came up with a surgical plan to accomplish my goals.

I went in for cool sculpting treatment earlier in the year. It’s been 6 months and not only do i look exactly the same, I now have a wonderfully lumpy abdomen where the paddles were applied. Simply lovely. What a complete and total waste of money. Not only do i not recommend cool sculpt, I definitely do NOT recommend the Waldorf Center for any sort of procedure. No follow up after my appointments… not a phone call, not a text, not an email… nothing…not a word. Does this Waldorf person even exist? Clearly she had an entry level nurse perform the procedures. No oversight and no followup. Weird experience, weird practice, weird situation overall.

Had a mastectomy years before and due to adhesions have had to have my implants replaced ever so often — always with fairly decent results by different Plastic Surgeons.
My implants needed to be replaced again due to adhesions and I was referred to this clinic. She did a horrible job!!! I am now disfigured with a «double bubble» crease in the middle of each breast.
I met a woman who was going to see them (Dr. O’Brien, not Waldorf). I showed her my breasts and warned her against them. She told them and they called me to come in and speak with the Dr. Waldorf. I went in and it was awful. She said it was my fault — that I had not worn the bra long enough after surgery, but that she could fix it. I HAD followed all instructions! By the time I left the room I was angry. Then I was told that while I was in with her they had checked with my insurance and showed me what it would cost (full price of course — no discount for her to fix her mistake). They even tried to charge me for the visit, and I had only gone in because they called me! Dr. Waldorf later called me to say she was sorry I was unhappy, but that was it.
Run from this place’!!!

You’re not really an adult if you have gauged ears.
That’s my controversial opinion.
Alas, in the early days of my youth, you could not tell me that… and so I stretched my ears beyond their ability to naturally repair. Because, ya know, punk rock will live forever!
I had a couple consultations before going forward with the minor plastic surgery to close my ears up. Dr. Lee at Northwest Plastic Surgery off NW 21st wanted to give me a «discount» of $ 1,400, while most plastic surgeons in the Bay Area were charging $ 1,000. The Waldorf Center, in realizing that a lot of people in Portland want to close their gauged ears, quotes the procedure between $ 600-​$ 900, depending on the ears. Mine was $ 600, which is an unbeatable deal.
Not only that, the Waldorf Center itself is a remarkable place– it’s beautiful inside and the women here are maybe even nicer to me than my own family. I’m kind of maxed-​out on PTO due to some travel plans this year and they completely accommodated my schedule: my consultation, procedure, and follow-​up were all at 5:30, so I got everything done after work. Erin Montgomery, the PA-​C who did my procedure, did a remarkable job and made herself available to me if I experienced any complications and needed to call her in the week following the procedure.
I’m about 2 ½ weeks into the healing process and already my earlobes are looking great. Two months after the procedure they’ll even pierce them for free!
Some tattoo/​piercing shops in the area are offering to close gauged ears for the same price as Waldorf… however, they can’t offer any anesthetic to numb your ears (or the expertise of a trained medical professional, obviously). That is crazy. Oh my god, Portland, just come here.

I had neck lipo with Chin augmentation, and 6 points of Body contouring «Cold Lipo.» Dr. Waldorf is outstanding. She is focused, experienced, artistic and kind. She is not going to chat you up like you just met at a bar. nor would you want that (at least I didn’t). She listened to my concerns and showed me how managing symetry using techniques that would work well for my skin and age would help. I agree. I had a great experience! Her staff (reception, sales, billing, RNs, even the other Dr. that took my post surgical «calls» after hours) were all professional, kind and skilled at what they do. The office is inviting… and that’s saying a lot for a man visiting what is normally a business that primarily serves women (that data says only 10% men use plastic surgery). I felt welcome, cared for and attended to. She is also part owner of the surgical clinic (along with a brain surgeon, spinal surgeon and others), which impressed me… I want a doc that has some skin in the game of for the performance of the overall effort. (Wilshire Surgical– same building). Highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I’m a Botox whore, and have gotten my «11’s» between my brows shot up at many high profile places. Christina at Waldorf is the best at it, and I’ve never even been tempted to cheat on her! They never try to up sell me, and even tell me to wait when I ask if I should consider other places to Botox or if I should consider fillers. That’s impressive.
Dr. Waldorf recently made my dream (of 25 years) come true by performing a breast augmentation. Call it midlife crisis; I call it «looking like a female.» Tomatoes: tomahtoes. She recommended a full, yet natural look on me, and I couldn’t be happier. Every member of the office staff, nurses, Dr’s, surgical staff, and anesthesiologist were warm and kind, friendly and thorough. I felt fully informed and well cared for.
If I ever need further «help» in the future,
I will definitely go back.

I had a complete upper body lift (circumferential abdominoplasty, mastopexy with silicone implants, brachioplasty, medial inner thigh lift), after losing 125 pounds thanks to gastric bypass surgery. I can’t say how thankful I am that we found The Waldorf Center after speaking to several plastic surgeons. Dr. Waldorf and her staff are amazing and I couldn’t be more pleased with my results — nor could my husband. The folllow-​up and aftercare were very professional, and their staff are all wonderful.

Three times, I have gone to other practitioners for services, and have mostly been disappointed by the disparity in professionalism and the quality of the services as compared to your center. The nurse practioners and RNs are a great group of people, the facility beautiful.

I’ve been a patient of the Waldorf Center since 2006 and have had a variety of services as well as purchasing skin care products. Not only have I been more than satisfied with the advice as well as the services, I’ve always been impressed by the lack of pushy selling tactics that I’ve experienced with other similar medical and spa offices. Dr. Waldorf and all members of her staff spend time to individually assess your issues and provide several options to choose from. They do not «up sell» or make unrealistic claims about results.

In 2010 my rhinoplasty was performed by Kathleen Waldorf. It has been almost 4 years and I am still experiencing severe itching around the incision area and my nostrils. It’s embarrassing because it looks like I’m constantly picking my nose. Kathleen is very professional and the business is very clean with friendly, knowledgeable staff. I just don’t understand why my nose would STILL be itching like this. My nose didn’t turn out completely the way I wanted. I think if I could do it all over again, I’d pick a different surgery center.

This is a review of Juvaderm filler that I received at the Waldorf Center.
First off. big points for offering just a half syringe instead of making you buy a whole one. I love to just get touch ups and I really love not spending all the extra money.
I had a great experience on my first time visiting.
Dr.Shannon O’Brien did my injections. I loved that she did not try to push botox on me for my forehead lines. She respected that I am terrified of botox, and that I am content with Juvaderm.
Most doctors try to talk me into it which is very unprofessional, in my opinion.
She did not try to convince me to buy a whole syringe either. I really love that and that is one reason that I will be back. It’s tacky and uncomfortable when they try to sell you on stuff.
She did a great job and what I am finding out now that I am in the world of fillers, is that that it is more common than not, to do a bad or average job.
My treatment looks very natural and it hit the right spots and I believe she did more with a half syringe than many I have seen have done with a whole one. Not to toot my own horn but I look great! I had my nasal folds done and a complicated diagonal yet vertical line near my eyebrow done. It’s perfect!
The office is very quiet and pleasant and soothing. Everyone was on time and respectful.
I even like how at the payment center you don’t have to STAND there and dig in your purse after having a needle in your face for half an hour.
They have a private little desk where you can sit down face to face with someone. It is just those little niceties that I really love.

I went to the Waldorf Center in 2009 and had breast implants and liposuction done. Was very happy with the results.
In 2011 had lip injections done… some bruising but loved the results.
Ive had a couple facials. They were ok.
When the center starting doing the coolsculpting I figured if they are doing it then it must work. I paid for 8 sections and had 7 areas done. I could not tell I’d had anything done so I called the center to see if others have had the some experience since it was something new to the center. They asked me to come in and have pictures taken. They compared my before and after pictures and said they could see a slight shadow difference in my abdomen on my left side. They also said since I’d gained 5 lbs that is probably way i hadn’t seen any other changes. Which was odd since I was told the fat cells would be frozen and the cells would die so if I did gain weight it would come back differently since the dead fat cells would be gone. They recommended that if I wanted better results I could buy more sessions. I was just very discouraged after that. I had already spent $ 3600 wasn’t about to pay more. Really had hoped it wasn’t a hoax. I guess something are too good to be true!

Expensive and never fully worked in the same spot I have done numerous times — she was trying to push more units on me. even though I told her I had always done 20. Well guess, what? I still had the crease and it wore off in half the time it usually does. Won’t go back.

I’ve been going to the Spa at the Waldorf Center for a little over 8 years, and it’s become almost like a second home to me. I trust the staff for all of my skin care needs. They are extremely friendly, well trained, and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and sterile (just as it should be), while still feeling warm and inviting.
This is truly the best medi-​spa in the Portland area. Whether you want a quick surface peel, a deeper chemical peel, laser treatment, or even a little botox, you will find what you need and walk away feeling very satisfied!
