The Salvation Army

This place is awful. I went in on a day that was a 50% off day, which I didn’t even know going in and thought, hey bonus for me! Turns out I was very wrong. Half of the items I found, which ended up being the ones I really wanted, didn’t have price tags on them. I took them up and the cashier said, «sorry I can’t sell them to you.» She explained that if it has no price tag they send it back to be re-​priced, and they won’t do it in the same day so I wouldn’t be able to just wait for them to reprice it so that I could get them that day. At any other store, if a price tag is not on an item they either find it for you, or have a way of knowing; for example at Goodwill they mark the item with tic marks so that even if the tag is gone they know how much the item costs. I called to talk to the manager and she told me that they would not even hold it for me so that I could come back and get it after they price the item. And everyone knows what a shit show it is going in there to find something you want, so unless I go back every morning when they open and scour the store to find what I wanted I am shit out of luck. And of course all she said was «I’ll let the people above me know.» Even though her and the cashier both said that people complain about this often. Obviously no one cares. Clearly they have never heard of customer service.

Lady yelled at me for not checking in my bag and refused to serve me when I was trying to buy something from them. I am a repeat customer who has spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there and was treated like a subhuman.
