Worst service ever and the food was trash. They wouldn’t give me my money back and called the cops for on me for nicely asking for my money back. I’m updating this to add that we are throwing the food up now next day. Just don’t go here

This changs has got to be the dirtiest one of them all! The floor is covered in oil at the buffet, fall risk! The«cooks» always burn the food. Half way through drinking my water I realize the cup is filthy, food debris all over the inside of the cup! When I brought up the fact the cup looks like they didn’t even wash it, the waitress just laughs. I didn’t find it very funny! Shortly after eating here I felt physically sick. I will never eat at this location EVER again. You shouldn’t have to double check that your utensils are clean!

This restaurant seems like it is all about quantity of food, not quality. The chicken didn’t taste real. The area where they feature various sauces was really unclean— it looked incredibly uninviting. The only reason I am giving this two stars instead of one is that the people who work there were attentive and nice.

The bowls were dirty had to look for clean bowls. the prep area was nasty with customers hands in the trays of vegetables. the restaurant was dirty looking. not a 5 star for me! won’t be eating here again.

Ohhhh Chang’s, how I love you! Bowls of meat and noodles and sauce cooked in front of me… Need I really say more?! This location, as it is one of the last, has seen better days but that holds nothing to the food. The service is always very friendly and you get an excellent deal! The soup is always fresh, the crepes are fresh and the food is Mmmmmmmmm If you’ve never been to Chang’s, I’d totally recommend it. It’s a great way to experiment with flavors and eat a LOT of food :)

Out of all the Changs this one is my favorite. It has been here for years and still has the quality. Went here the other night and forgot how good it is.

Drove 20 mins to try this place with a take-out order(since many have commented on poor service). Would not make a take-out meal?! Really?

We have been coming here over the years, but we will not be returning. The service was non exsistant, and the cooks were only cooking 3 orders at a time. The cook line took 30 minutes to get thru. And they watered down your food! I’ll drive out to Gresham from now on.

Inconsistency in flavor due to the fact that the«chefs» we’re not stirring the noodles in with the veggies, meat and sauce.

DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY! This place is filthy dirty. Service is disinterested and lackluster. Veggie selection is limp and without variety. Sauces are less than galf the choices of any reasonable Mongolian grill. Fish selection is nonexistent. Cooks seem bothered if not downright rude. We eat less tgan half our food paid the $ 30.00 and left feeling cheated.

Uh wait staff kinda sucks but then all they do is seat you and get drinks mostly. Awesome hungover place, make your own stuff and mind your own shit… Downside, … When the children come. Other then that, blue caller friendly.

The ingredients are really fresh, The sauces, not really. They too watered down. Anyone who’s been to a real Mongolian grill outside the USA would understand but I guess it will do considering it’s an Americanized Mongolian grill. The place looks old but it’s clean. The service was very good, so good that we left a 30% tip.

Being pregnant, all food sounds amazing. I was in this area of town and got a whiff of this place and HAD to eat it today! The pros: I loved all the veggie options. So many fresh veggies! Most were fresh! The meat looked mostly fresh out of the freezer except maybe the fish and the lamb. They have really great tofu that grills perfectly Tasty DIY sauces to add to your stir fry or some straight up kikkoman teriyaki sauce or hoisin sauce for those who do not want to DIY it The cons: Some ingredients could have been fresher– cilantro looked a bit puny and old. Fish looked like it wasn’t super fresh… You have to stand in line too long each time you want a plate of food(we went lunch rush on a Sunday). Stood in line probably 20 – 25 minutes twice. A lot of patrons seemed like regulars and knew how to «cheat» by making four bowls at a time(which would make two big plates worth.) these patrons were also pretty unpleasant and kept policing the line of folks waiting for their food to get cooked. It was kind of annoying… and weird The ingredient bar was a mess. Tongs in the wrong place, spilled ingredients everywhere, sticky sauce messes. I saw staff cleaning it up with witty regularly but when people are hungry and in a rush to try and get in the cooking line, common courtesy to keep the are clean apparently goes out the window! The soup is bad and kind of a waste when the main food is what you’re paying for. Also the pancakes/wraps they gave us were too crunchy(maybe stale?) and didn’t seem right– didn’t really want them anyway. If you’re a vegetarian who cares about shared cooking space on the grill, don’t come here. Lots of contamination of meat all over the grill. My husbands vegetarian and is ok with shared cooking spaces, but I know many other vegetarians are not ok with it. Overall, it’s pretty tasty but I think I prefer Wok Shop on 82nd for a good stir fry that costs a bit less and no annoying lines or greedy/bossy restaurant-goers.

This is a great place! Its great for groups, casual date nights, older couples, whoever! It’s a buffet style place, with an all you can eat setup. They do a good job of keeping the counter clean and the food bins full. Love the place! They do close for a few hours during the day so be mindful of that. You also get wraps, rice and ice cream with your dinner which is great.

Personalized all-you-can-eat food and entertainment in one experience, that is what a Mongolian Grill is all about. It had been some time since our last visit to this style of restaurant. Dinner, at $ 15 seems several dollars more expensive than our last visit. Soup can be brought to the table if you want, or you can just head for the main coarse. There was a great section of meats including lamb, salmon, small shrimp and calamari as well as noddles and vegetable. Your choice of sauces are at the end. If you don’t have a clue or two about what to use, just look up at the suggestion board. Timing is a bit of an art here, meaning that you might fill a bowl or two with your meats and veggies, and then have to line up against the wall as you progress towards the grill. The entertainment happens when you reach the counter and watch the food being cooked on a large semi-domed, very hot grill. Rice, beverages and wraps are available back at your table from the wait staff who we found to be friendly and helpful.

Wanted to like this place more. Meals come with soup, wraps, rice, and ice cream! Soup– egg flower– looked good, was sweet– shouldn’t be sweet… ever Meat wasn’t all frozen Good selection of meats and vegetables. Sauces– disappointing for those with me that there wasn’t a house sauce or pre made sauce. At the grill– why why why why hose all the sauces off with water? The good places don’t do it that way!

I prefer the one in Tigard because it’s closer to my house and has a larger selection of food. But I learned something new and very important today! China is in SE Portland! When I grew up in SE Portland, I don’t remember China being there, but apparently it’s there now. My favorite server disappeared from the Tigard Chang’s last year, so I asked what happened to her. They told me she moved to China. Sad sauce, but happy for her if that’s what she wanted! So tonight I happen to be on the East side and stop for dinner at Changs, and guess who’s there? My favorite server! The one who moved to China,(or so they said.) I was actually a little disappointed in the selection at first. No broccoli? But usually I end up eating too much and can’t have ice cream, so this time it worked out great.

I love this place. It took a few tries to get the flavor right… it’s pricey during dinner Bc you get imitation crab and snow cod. Also your price includes soup wraps rice and ice cream. avoid Sunday afternoons. huge church groups. Great service fast paced love this place.

I have never been here during the week because of how late they open. I have always gone on a Saturday when the open and it gets full really fast. Normally I can only get one plate of food because of how long the line to get your food cooked becomes. This time I was able to go through twice and boy was I full when I was done. I went on a Monday night at 5pm and there was maybe a quarter of the business I normally see on the weekends. The food is still delicious and you can create some really unique flavors with the different sauces they provide. I definitely suggest checking them out on a weeknight for a little bit less crowd activity.
