Beware– this place is trying to change their name again. They were also called Tri-​County Transmission and Portland Import Transmission.
I cannot stress this enough: Do not give them your money until you research them on the Better Business Bureau. Call the Attorney General and Dept of Justice. They have a laundry list of complaints.
Look up their MANY business names in the Secretary of State website under the business owner’s name, and research those complaints.
Same owners, same location, same rip-​off, but since they keep changing their business identification– it’s like a scavenger hunt to find out the real story about them.
You will notice that the bad reviews often have similar themes (won’t complete any warranty work, car held hostage, Tom being a psycho, lots of lies) and the good reviews are vague. («Best place in town!»). The reason is that this business writes its own fake reviews on City Search, Google, OregonLive, and other sites to try to counter the bad reviews.
This place is run by clowns and it is by far the worst scam that I’ve ever come across. They kept my vehicle for months. I had to get an attorney to help because all they did was lie. I had to tow my truck directly from their «shop» to a special photographed and documented inspection to prove that everything they told me for months was made of pure BS.
I’ve never had to do something like that before and I’ve never been stranded so badly before by anybody that called themselves a mechanic. I went to have my truck towed away and I had to hand deliver a letter from my lawyer. I didn’t say anything, just gave Tom the letter. Tom took one look at it and absolutely exploded into cussing hysterics in front of my toddler– complete with whoppers about how he was doing me favors.
I just wanted to leave with my truck and get away from screaming psycho-​boy, so I didn’t say a word, but he kept re-​working himself into a lather.
You could not pay me enough to ever come near that place again– no matter what name they use.
