I admit it. I’m a tan whore. I see myself as an albino with a pasty complexion. Sexy. I have accepted the fact that I appreciate an Oompa Loompa hue. I dropped my last salon because I always felt like they were charging an extra fee for anything I wanted. Hey, it’s Thursday, that will be an extra $ 3. I was ready for my change. I found Suns Up because of a Groupon or Living Social. I have now been a customer for six months or so. I was skeptical so I held off on a review. I have used all of their beds now, including red light therapy and spray tanning. I am really happy with the Versa Spa. My spray tan looks great(get bronze 2) and it’s easy breezy. My only take aways? The computer system that the staff has to use is old and out dated. The staff has to wait and fumble while the squirrels charge up the modem and send a signal out to the interwebs. I feel sorry for them. They can’t do their jobs in a prompt, professional manner. Speaking of the staff, I don’t typically see the same person twice. Maybe it’s because they are frustrated with the computers? I just think it’s odd that I don’t see a person more than once. Depending on the employee, I have received some good information and hints. Some have been knowledgable about products and services. Some, not so much. Maybe it’s because of the amount of turn over? All in all, I’m pretty happy with Suns Up. Reasonable pricing, good specials, nice staff, good hours, easy location for me = happy customer.

Nice people. Terrible service in general. Sold me upgrades and failed to mention they expire knowing I’m not a very frequent tanner. Always asking me if I want to buy lotion when I already have some. Ask for 10 minutes and they give u 8. All they want to do is sell me stuff. Even if it doesn’t make sense. I will be finding a new salon to tan this hide. Care about your customers not your commission.

This review is for my Versa Spa experience only — I don’t do regular tanning beds to try to save what’s left of my skin! The salon itself seemed to be really clean, and the girl behind the counter was as nice as could be and really helpful, and they have amazing specials, so I wouldn’t recommend avoiding this place or anything, just this particular Versa Spa. I’ve used it other places many times in the past, and it seems that the machine at this location is maybe old or something? All the Versa machines I’ve used in the past talk to you and instruct you as it’s going through the spray cycle. This one didn’t, and the grip tape on the floor was peeling up or missing in several places. Also, when the the whole thing was done, including the drying part, my whole body was still literally dripping wet despite standing right on the indicator line thing and letting the dryer pass twice front and back like you’re supposed to. I mentioned that the dryer didn’t seem to do its job to the nice girl behind the counter and she said she’d have someone check it out, so that was good. The tan itself came out ok I guess, but I’ve definitely had better results in the past with Versa. I ended up buying this«Neutralizer» spray that is supposed to neutralize the spray tan odor, and it absolutely does nothing at all. Zero difference. I paid $ 17 to find that out so you don’t have to. Don’t buy it. Doesn’t work. Suns Up has a couple other sunless systems at other locations that I’m going to try out. Supposedly those machines are the latest and greatest, so I look forward to checking them out, but I probably won’t be back to this location for spray tan. Note: This location also has a Mystic machine. I don’t use those because they’re fully enclosed, where the Versa is open. Just a preference I guess.
