A glowing review for Sun Glow! Woke up on Sunday morning to discover that our gas water heater was not working. (Got one final shower out of the hot water left in the tank) Monday, I called a couple of businesses who either could not come for several days or made it clear to me that my 10 years old water heater probably needed replacing. When I called Sun Glow, their cheerful receptionist Noami told me they’d have a tech out by day’s end. Sure enough, Leon arrived within a few hours, fixed my hot water heater and my charge was reasonable. I will call them again whenever I need furnace or water heater service!

Techs are capable and polite. Office people completely suck at every aspect of what they do, no clue of what customer service is and the clown that answers the phone (I think it was Vanessa) lies to customers and plays scheduling games. Lots of other companies to choose from and I recommend letting this one fail.

Despite the haters who clearly did not understand what was going on, I had the best experience EVER with Sun Glow.
After making several phone calls to various air conditioning installers (included the dreaded Home Depot), and being told «the earliest we can come out is 3 – 4 weeks from now — for an estimate only», I was beginning to feel depressed. It seemed as though my family and I would have to «tough out» the heat wave through most of the summer before even getting on the schedule for an estimate.
Desperate and our of options, and after lamenting about my predicament, one of my clients recommended Sun Glow Inc. and I decided to try them (I had never heard of them before). To my great surprise, they picked up right away and informed me they could come out the NEXT DAY for an estimate! Their estimate came back $ 1k LESS than Home Depot’s phone estimate, and they came to install my brand new air conditioning unit on the second business day after that. So chronologically, it went — phone call on Wednesday, estimate on Thursday, Air Conditioning installed and ready to go the following Monday. Fantastic! Especially since every day was over 90 degrees and time was of the essence.
Their service was also very professional and courteous, I got updates from the guys during the day when they were installing and I was at work, they left my house in perfect shape (no residue or dirt tracked anywhere, everything put back the way it was, etc.) I honestly could not believe that this wasn’t THE premier company in Portland for air conditioning yet.
Do yourself a favor — if you are like me and can’t stand this heat and are in desperate need of air conditioning, call Sun Glow and see how fast and inexpensive it is. My wife and I are totally satisfied and excited to enjoy our new air conditioner!

Extremely shady business! They ripped my parents off. On the furnace it says «call for free estimate» so my dad called them to take a look at the furnace because it was heating slowly, especially when the temperate was below freezing outside. They came by spent around 10 minutes for the so called «diagnostic» and charged $ 89.99 for diagnostic fee! The tech automatically knew that everything was fine and the furnace only needed a tune-​up. Since the problem they said was that the furnace needs a «tune-​up» so they cleaned the flame señor and air filter and left a bill totaling $ 134, while recommended a tune-​up service for $ 169, with air filter replacement! Then why did you clean the air filter genius? You just wanted to more money and take advantage of an old man! I called other businesses in the area and most of them quoted me between 89.99−99.99 for tune-​up, not $ 169! When I called them about the charges the person on the phone got very defensive and was telling me that they barley make any profit and the 89.99 diagnostic fees is for the cost of gas, auto insurance, and tech’s pay. She was also telling me that prices for everything has done up since last year and they are priced lower then their competition. Gas prices are down 30−40% from last year! She told me that the manager is currently busy and will call me back soon, however he never called back! Very typical of a shady business. Why do they advertise free estimate on the furnace and on their website? Does this business like talking advantage of old people? If they recommended a tune-​up with air filter replacement then why did they cleaned the old air filter and charged $ 45? Stay away from the shady business!

This company has integrity issues, I would not use this company again. They wanted an $ 89 diagnostic fee and then $ 600 to fix a super minor issue, replacing an inducer fan which was faulty. Pacific nw gas had first diagnosed this issue and I called to see if it was under warranty, barely out, and asked for the quote to replace. There quote didn’t even include a cleaning, which would have taken them 15 minutes, they wanted $ 189 for this service. I don’t mind paying for services, but these guys are off their rocker. They need to get real and get some integrity. By the way, the motor was $ 119, 3 screws and 2 wires that plugged in, 1 hour of drive time and about 10 minutes of labor. I will look elsewhere when the need arises again, I would suggest you do the same.

Sun Glow installed a tankless water heater and new furnace this summer. They are incredibly professional and great to work with — from the initial consult, to the install, to the tax rebate info, to the follow up – you could not ask for better service, clearer information or nicer people. We were doing a larger project to our house and they were the one piece we subcontracted on our own — could have been messy with aligning time schedules etc (and we had to move the install dates a few times because of our larger project), but they made it easy.

This place will always have a very special place in my heart, much respect. Call them today for all your HVAC needs!
