Simon is a genius! After going for almost a year to a highend hairdresser I ended up a mess. I went in with a specific cut in mind and color. My last visit the cut was uneven and horrible. My color became this bright yellow like I did it myself out of a box. She kept telling me it was going to take some time to get what I wanted. I was going on a trip and contacted Simon who was recommended highly. He worked me in to his schedule before my trip. I now have the cut I wanted and my hair color is beautiful. Exactly what I wanted. He has a super talent for hair and I will be recommending him to everyone.

Simon is the best! So great with hair of all types, so patient with me a first-​time color user, and so thorough. He’s fun to be with for those longer appts and I have never gotten as many compliments on my hair as I have since I started coming to him. Totally unsolicited :). The space is quaint and easy to get to and no parking fees like in NW. Can’t say enough about this place and Simon’s skill and fantastic customer service.

Burak was my stylist for many years when he was with Dosha Hawthorne, and followed him when he left to join Studio B, which has the added advantage of being walking distance from my home. The salon is affordable, clean, and, of course, has Burak! He designed the perfect cut for me and always has great suggestions for new colors to switch things up seasonally. It is always a pleasure to chat with him while he works, and I look forward to each appointment. I highly recommend the salon and Burak.

This is the new home of Burak & Simon from Dosha Salon & Spa on Hawthorne. The salon is one of those wonderful little Portland neighborhood storefronts with old fashioned facades & high ceilings. There is a cozy window seat area as you enter the warmly decorated interior.
Of course, the service is as warm & gracious as the surroundings. Burak has been my stylist for many years. I can always count on looking & feeling great when I leave. The location is great for me– just across the street from Laurelwood Brewing Co and their fantastic rooftop!
