Booo! Just when I thought Soleil was my forever spa, they came up with a way to rip me off and leave me feeling used and abused. Never again!

Sohelia is the best ! I always get my eyebrows here and they are always perfect!!! She is an eyebrow guri! Definitely recommended!

So I recently visited soleil for the second time and had a facial by Michelle and a laser Genesis by Sarah and they were by far amazing. The whole staff made me feel welcomed and completely comfortable. I am definitely going back on a regular basis. I will be recommending these girls to all my friends and family.

I have been going to Soheila for my threading/​waxing needs for over 7 years now and she is the best in the city! On occasion, I’ve tried going elsewhere but I always regret it when I do. No one does eyebrows like Soheila! Seriously, I get compliments all the time on how great my brows look. I have never tried any of the other spa services, but I certainly would if I had the need. The spa itself is lovely and the friendly staff always make me feel welcome and comfortable. The parking lot is a great perk, too! As a long-​time satisfied client, I would recommend Soleil Medical Spa to anyone without hesitation.

I have never had a terrible experience with any type of spa services, until now. The lady working the front desk was certainly pleasant enough both coming and going. The person who did my «procedure» (Sarah) definitely needs to learn about customer service. I guess in a few months of training to hold a piece of equipment they don’t go over that. I had purchased a voucher for one of 2 procedures. It was months ago when I read up on them and I had to use it before it expired, so I made my appointment. I just got back from 3 weeks in Europe, so sorry if it slipped my mind which one. No need to be a smart mouth about it. Also quite the know-​it-​all who clearly knows nothing. Try reading about some scientific research before you go spouting off rude comments to clients. No, you don’t know what you’re talking about — AT ALL — and you have an agenda anyway, so you’re «opinions» (not facts) are biased. There’s a right and a wrong way to deal with clients and she seemed to only know the wrong. I was really close to walking out and just being out the money. Instead I stayed and was still out the money because the service did nothing for my skin at all. What a waste!

Bait and Swtich, Do NOT buy their Groupons!!!
Bought a Groupon for $ 99 (value stated was $ 550) for Full Face IPL. Called prior to buying to ensure that they do BOTH the brown spots and red spots.
Upon arrival told that I would have to pay an extra $ 100. This was more than the price posted on their website!!! $ 99 Groupon + $ 100 was less than the full face IPL on their website.
I asked to speak to the person in charge to discuss this, and the cranky old receptionist, Jennifer, said «I’m in charge». So I explains the issue to her and she hung up on me! Really? I called back and she tried to tell me that she was the expert at IPL, etc… but she isn’t even an esthetician!!!
Have filed complaints with the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. When I called to talk to the owners their receptionist, Jennifer, hung up on me.
*Perhaps the estheticians are fine, but business practice is deceptive, and front desk is completely and totally out of line!

I was surprised on my second visit that I was greeted by name, it was very personal and it made me feel very valuable, also the technician remembered the stories i had told her in my first visit and that made me feel important as well. I’m also impressed with the cleanliness of this place, it is spic and span, no dust anywhere, believe me i looked. Furthermore, i ask for information on other treatments, but i was not push to buy anything or make appointments, as a matter of fact, Jessica insisted on me doing extra research before committing to the treatments, this is something i haven’t found in other places, the reassurance of knowing what they are doing by asking the clients to research for themselves and ask all the questions you might have. very, very comfortable with this.

I visited Soleil hoping for a thorough evaluation on my skin care needs, and overall health with their naturopath, and learned one thing; just because you have 10+ certificates proving you went to school to be a naturopath, doesn’t mean you are a naturopath, and definitely doesn’t mean you know what you’re doing. Overall, I had a pleasant visit, and walked away with some samples of a very helpful, and expensive, skin care line. The people were friendly, but I just didn’t get the answers I was hoping for.

I have been coming here for waxing services, facials and B12 treatments, for years… like 10+ years. LOVE THIS PLACE! Excellent services by professionals who know what they are doing, and really deliver. I can’t say enough about Soleil– they are the best!

You are better off buying your own machines that offer the same service. I bought a Groupon for small vein removal and had the 30 second procedure (no lie) and I ended up having more veins than before the procedure. Not a great experience, not to mention the total waste of money. Buyer beware of «smoke and mirrors» industry.

I saw Dr. Stephani Durham for a Botox treatment and she was not only knowledgeable but took the time to explain her thoughts on why she thought I needed attention on various spots of my forehead. I have had Botox treatments at two other places and I was most impressed with her. I have found my home for treatments! I have also been to Soleil for laser treatments and had a wonderful experience. The environment is beautiful and relaxing. People speak in a hushed tone. I have made two follow up appointments in the months to come and am looking forward to them so very much! I was also pleasantly surprised that they have their own private parking lot unlike many Pearl District spa’s –you don’t have to street park. They are located in charming Multnomah Village so I would recommend either going early or staying after your appointment to shop and/​or do lunch. Perfect girls afternoon combo.

I had a facial service done today and the service itself was wonderful and so was the esthetician.
However, there were loud noises going on outside the door. This consisted of a woman and a male laughing and either a bed or a table being dragged across the floor and loud chatter. This ruckus was not conducive to a relaxing environment.
When I went to pay, I addressed this issue to the receptionist I believe her name was Jennifer. She didn’t bother to apologize. I asked if I could write my issues down on a piece of paper, so that the owner could see the note. She proceeded to slam a piece of paper on the counter and was so shockingly rude that I was just astounded at the lack of customer service and basic human decency. This woman is so rude she should not be working in what is supposed to be a relaxing and tranquil environment.
She proceeded to stand up from her chair on the other side of the counter and in an intimidating fashion she stared at me while I was trying to write my note. I asked for some privacy, she blatantly said no and said that she could stand there and watch me if she wanted to. I am a paying customer who can gladly take my money and business elsewhere, however I wanted to support this specific business because they also do threading. she gives a really bad name to this spa. Her rude and condescending behavior is absolutely abhorrent and needless to say I will not be referring anyone here or returning because just the thought of having to interact with this receptionist Jennifer makes my stomach turn.
She also said she was the manager which is absolutely unbelievable. Any manager should never behave the way she did.

I never thought I’d go to a place like Soleil, much less do so regularly. But every time I go there, i am more impressed. I have interacted now with four people: the owner, the doctor, the receptionist (aka Wonder Woman), and my gorgeous laser technician, Sarah. Each of these people has met me with impeccable professionalism and a genuine desire to help me. I first came across them via a Groupon, and it was mid-​summer. They advised me that I had too much melanin in my skin (due to spray tanning) and that the laser procedure would just end up harming my tissues. So, they counseled me to wait until autumn, which I did, but not without a complimentary hour-​long (last-​minute) consult with the doctor! When it was time for my return appt., I had to miss it due to an emergency with my daughter. They happily rescheduled, but in my mind, I was thinking, «What will this mean, because the Groupon will be expired» by the new scheduled appt time. Well, that had zero effect. They took me in and performed the service (which was excellent, by the way) and haven’t mentioned a single thing about the expired Groupon. Now, that’s professionalism and service. I will definitely be back to try out some of their other services. Once you find a place you like, you become very faithful and supportive — and Soleil deserves that!

I went here a couple of years ago I think via a Living Social deal. For a mani/​pedi. Since I went I had been to other places for a mani/​pedi, and in retrospect they could have done more. like massage, hot wax… etc… it was a lovely place, and as I recall they were friendly. Also, I’m not a really big mani/​pedi, girly girl to begin with. Last place I went to, after I took the polish off of my toes… the toe nail disintegrated… so I’m now skeptical of all mani/​pedis. Make sure that the tubs are sterilized and clean!

Hmm, quite a disparity with reviews here. I came to use a Living Social deal I bought for an IPL facial. I happened to call on a Friday and was able to get an appointment within 2 hours — luckily they had a cancellation and I was able to get in.
I have to say, after reading the negative reviews I was a little worried, but my experience was fine. Sarah was great for my IPL facial, and went over some areas of my face a second time just in case. I found her professional and very pleasant. The front desk reception was also friendly.
I wasn’t lied to, I wasn’t treated poorly, and the price I paid (through the Living Social deal) was fair. I don’t think I would pay full price for IPL — especially when so many other businesses are offering the same deal.
They apparently offer ongoing deals for IPL, so I might return though it IS a little difficult to find this place if you’re not familiar with Multnomah Village. Your GPS will likely take you to the wrong spot — so be sure to ask them for the best directions.

I was a little worried about this business at first because I did not see the bad ratings until after I had purchased a deal with «PORTLAND PERKS.» But I went in for my Vitamin B injection the Spa was beautiful, the staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Stephanie was very easy to talk to and even though I came in with my $ 19 deal she treated me as though I was her only patient. I felt she really cared about my well being. She gave me ideas to improve my health and was not pushing any of their products, she offered them… but was not pushy. I was so impressed I went back to the Portland Perks website and purchased two more injections. In fact, I might plan on going back for them after the $ 19 deal is gone.
I am a pretty hard person to please and am a perfectionist. I would totally recommend this place… rest assured that you will be taken care of by their caring and professional staff.
Oh… the only reason they did not get 5 stars is because I believe there is ALWAYS room for improvement no matter how good you are. KAIZEN!

This place rocks!!! Jennifer, the office manager, is super friendly and helpful. Carly gives an AMAZING facial. Soheila is your woman for waxing and Sarah is a laser expert. Dr Durham is the most friendly, approachable, competent doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. You’re in good hands with her. I know I’m gushing but these people are great. Its rare to find so many good people under one roof and I’m really glad I have found them!

I had purchased a Sharing Spree voucher for a dermabrasion treatment with a collagen mask for $ 33. The estimated value stated on the «deal» was $ 250. HA! My total appointment lasted 30 minutes at the most, and most of that time I was left alone with the mask on my face. So much for $ 250 worth. The staff didn’t seem the least bit interested in seeing that I had a good experience. The treatment – it you could call it that – was minimal and brief, certainly not worth my time or money. To top it off, the technician told me that I could return for more of the same for $ 39.
I feel totally ripped off and will never return.

I travel from San Francisco to Portland just to visit Soleil Medical Spa. There are a few nice spas in San Francisco, but when it comes to my skin there is NO other spa in the country that compares to the attention and care that Soleil gives me. My face is my work, being a painter who focuses on figurative, autobiographical work it’s absolutely vital to have perfect skin.
My visits include:
Diamond Ton, Genesis Laser Rejuvenation and Hair Lazer Removal. The medical esthatician takes her time to discuss the process and is always careful treating my skin. The establishment is modern and creates a calm atmosphere. Cleanliness is of absolute importance for me when visiting any spa and Soleil keeps me flying back to Portland for the best skin care in the country.
Hands down ladies, this is the spa to visit.
