Sapphire Skin Care and Healing offers incomparable facials that include skin analysis and education, custom product selection, aromatherapy, massage, manual lymphatic drainage, warm booties and towels, and individual attention to relax and nourish. I treat any skin type, from the most benign or «normal» to the most challenging– such as hormonal acne and rosacea. Attention is given to heal from the inside out by providing advice on nutrition and lifestyle, in addition to product ingredients and home care.

Other specialties include LED light therapy, microdermabrasion, body treatments, Reiki, and brow waxing.

Classes currently offered: The Basics of Skin Care for adults and Reiki levels I through III.

Products sold include Epicuren Discovery, Vera Botania, Blinc, Revitalash, LiLash, and Babe.

History

Established in 2011.

Sapphire Skin Care and Healing opened its doors in December, 2011, after owner Patti Robinson graduated from the Euro Institute of Skin Care in Beaverton, OR, and obtained all three levels of Reiki certification.

The vision of Sapphire came about from one of those truly uncanny «ah-​ha» moments. I was driving to an appointment one morning, New Years Eve, 2009, to be exact, and it suddenly dawned on me that I could start a business that combined two loves– skin care and Reiki. From that date on I was on a crazy relentless mission.

Sapphire was created from a passion to help people relax, heal, and learn about their skin. It’s about giving to and helping others.

Business Owner

Most of my career has been in financial services management. After I graduated from Oregon State U. in Dietetics, I wanted to get into nutrition research at OHSU, but the government grants were nonexistent at the time; so I went to work for a bank to leverage my analytical skills, and the years went by.

Somewhere along the way I started dreaming of having my own small business and finally landed on skin care and Reiki the last day of 2009. I ended up attending one of the best holistic skin care schools in the country, The Euro Institute of Skin Care, and totally fell in love. Sapphire opened its doors on NW 19^th Avenue December 1, 2011.

Today I am a licensed esthetician, a Reiki Master, a volunteer at Compass Oncology, and still a program manager in financial services (as I build my clientele at Sapphire). I feel very fortunate and blessed to do all the things I do!
