It’s also why, after ten years with the Public Defender’s Office in Multnomah County, she broke away from the traditional way of doing things and started her own boutique firm.

Ms. Pellikaan grew up in Texas and received her BA in English from Stephen F. Austin University. She moved to Portland in 1992 to attend law school at Lewis & Clark College. While in law school she was selected to write for Environmental Law Review, was selected for 1 of 4 teaching assistant positions in the legal writing department, and co-​chaired the Public Interest Law Project fundraising auction. Ms. Pellikaan has trained and mentored new attorneys in trial skills and other areas of criminal defense. She is also well known and respected by her peers, judges and court staff as being knowledgeable, well prepared, and professional in her representation of her clients.
