Specialties
We have an outstanding variety of pottery for painting! Mostly functional ceramic items like mugs, plates, bowls & serving pieces, ALSO fun items such as picture frames, vases, banks, covered boxes, butter dishes, & the ever popular gnomes! Glass Fusing is another option! Create beautiful bowls, plates & candle holders from chunks, bits, rods & stringers of glass melted together, then shaped.
To make your experience even more enjoyable, we offer a selection of wine & microbrews for purchase. We like to refer to it as «Liquid Encouragement»!
Ready, Paint, Fire! is a great place to unwind, relax & create. Get together with friends or come in for some art therapy! We’ll walk you through the steps, encourage you along the way, and best of all, we clean up after you’re finished! Once you’re done, we take about 3 days to allow your piece to dry, dip it in clear glaze, & fire it, before you can pick it up! It’s fun! «Cheaper than therapy, AND you get to take something home»!!
History
Established in 1996.
Originally opened in Breckenridge, CO by Nancy Pavlenko. Joni & George Kuhlman purchased the business in 2000 after Joni had worked for Nancy for 2 years prior. We sold the Breckenridge location in 2005, and moved back home to Portland, OR. We opened our Oregon studio, in the heart of the Pearl in August 2006. In November 2013, we moved about 10 blocks north to our current location, in the courtyard at Raleigh Square.
