Probably have brought in at least five lamps over the last few years to get rewired and a few more to get new shades. Louise and JoEllen always do a great job. Their lampshades are really beautifully crafted inside and out. They also excel at picking out the right shade and finial (if you need one) to go with any lamp. End product is classy. Plus these ladies are always upbeat and friendly. Love going here.

This is a long time Portland business that has been available to the public for many years because they are very pleasant, know their craft, and deliver quickly and offer extras along the way. Trust you antiques to them, or a simple cord repair or shade rebuild. If they can help you out, they will!

Rainbow is just the best! We use them often for high-​end projects where I work & the quality is top-​notch. My personal experience involved taking a vintage chrome medical lamp in there for repair. The owner went into the back, dug through her old parts, and voila… I had a replacement part for this super old, obscure lamp! I could hardly believe she had this part on-​hand and furthermore, she wouldn’t accept more than a couple of dollars for it. Gave me some good, easy instructions too (so I could repair it myself & save money!) They really have the small local business model down & I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

The woman who owns/​runs this shop couldn’t be nicer. I had a knob that broke on a three-​way lamp. I took it in to fix it, and she just gave me a new one from spare parts to screw back on the threading and fix it. Same thing happened again to the lamp later in the year, and when I went back, I even tried to give her money this time. She wouldn’t take it. She gave me another plastic knob and an extra one to boot so I didn’t have to come back again. Great service. Thank you.

Finally! I found a place that would make new lampshades for our RV bedroom lights. This isn’t an easy thing to find, nor are any replacement lampshades available… anywhere. Wonderful customer service and very reasonable prices. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was actually (or I’d have done it sooner). Everything is made in USA or made/​fixed right there in the store. She also had a great selection of fun lamps. There’s just only so much room in a RV though.

super friendly place. lady really helped us without trying to sell. amazing customer service… and easy to locate off I-​5. if you need a lamp rewired, etc… this is the place to go. they also have a TON of decently priced lamp shades. basically, this is lamp shade heaven. also, they have a great selection of lamp toppers.

i had to replace a cord cap, and saw on google, that rainbow repaired lamps, in addition to buying anything to do with lamps and shades. the woman told me she could fix it on the spot, and it wasn’t very expensive either. she said the shop was her folks for 56 years, and she worked there for 36. a great variety of lamps, shades, and anything related. she was so charming, and friendly. great place!!!

This place is such a gem. We are talking all products made in the USA and some even made right there on Lombard, how cool is that? If you want to buy local (and lampshades are nearly impossible to find not from China) then check this place out. Prices are close to the big box stores, good service, good selection, I will definitely go back.
