Excellent little waffle place in a magical alley near voodoo donuts. Quite amazing the concoctions they come up with here. Deadly delicious.

Wow these waffles are amazing! The location I went to was next door to voodoo doughnuts attached to the kitkat club, I went there late and she was still there! The waffle sandwich I had was the wake up??? It had a sausage patty, an egg«framble», provolone cheese, and a maple glaze! It was soo good! I would defiantly recommend it!

So, I know I previously reviewed this restaurant, but upon realizing I had more than one account. I decided to start over! :) Pink & Black Waffle Shack was amazing! Cute little location tucked away, with a badass exterior paintjob and matching hair of the girl working. The experience had a good vibe. We went there on Easter day. The only thing that seemed to lack at all was the selection… But probably due to the holiday crowd! All the menu names rock… And the waffles are big and fluffy and crunchy! Absolutely delicious and satisfying. And pretty quickly made as well. I tried the BLT with pesto mayo, and scarfed it down pretty quickly. Next time, french dip…

Waffles were fresh, light, and crunchy! I got the BLT with pesto mayo, and it was worth every bite… Interested in coming back for a French dip? :) cute shack and location.

Although they are no longer at this location, they have moved to 5429NE30th Ave, Portland, OR I did visit this place today and I am so pleased that I did. Sadie was awesome and so friendly and the food was amazing! So delicious and well worth the trip. LOVE them!

Sadie is as sweet and charming as her waffles. I really like the idea of getting 2 small waffles a sweet and a savory. The prices are really reasonable and the product doesn’t disappoint. Just enough off the beat and path that you don’t get caught in a food cart crush but totally accessible. Miss Honey Peaches is my all time favorite, I hope that’s back on the menu this year. She also offers party packs which I got for a dinner party I had last year. It was such a cool alternative to traditional desert and super fun and interactive. ps. The chicken and waffles shouldn’t be missed.

(NOTE: Sadie has re-opened near NE30th and Killingsworth, next to Beast) Generally, Sadie has a large menu to choose from, multiple sweet waffles and a few savory choices. This time, I went with a «Wake ‘n Bake»($ 5 small; $ 8 large) breakfast waffle sandwich. The large has multiple strips of bacon(you can also opt for sausage), two eggs, maple glaze, and choice of cheddar or provolone in between a thick Belgian waffle. The large-sized option can be quite the task for some people, and could conveniently split into two smaller sandwiches. What’s the old saying… bacon makes everything better? Fact. Perfect crispy, smoky bacon here. Eggs and cheese complete a happy breakfast sandwich experience. If overeasy eggs are an option(and I’m sure it can be done), I’d go with that if you love a messy sandwich and want that yolk to ooze all over the damn place. While the waffle may look like an imposing behemoth, it’s very light and fluffy, easily tearing away if you’re the type of person that likes to nuke food via methodical dissection.(*points to self*) There’s a little syrup already in this Wake ‘n Bake, but you’ll get another small container with your order. For me, I dispatched one large waffle in no time. Probably got room for at least a couple more if arriving on an empty stomach. I still love the pink napkins; it just keeps in line with the name of the place. Yeah, I devoted a sentence or two to pink freakin’ napkins. Does the panda have a problem yet? I dunno about you, but I could stand in front of the menu for a while and fail to make up my mind. It probably should get to the point where one of two things happen:(1) just ask for a random waffle;(2) close eyes and point to random menu item; or(3) attempt to eat a good portion of the menu in one sitting. I like the third choice if my wallet doesn’t abandon me. Check out her business Facebook page for the latest news on special orders(delivery or pick-up) and when the cart’s opening back up!

A friend showed me picture of a waffle he’d had here and I think my jaw damn near dropped(I was probably drooling a bit too), then upon looking up the location I realized I would be a couple doors down for an appointment in a couple weeks and decided to make it a point to try it out…(since the photo was one of the most mouth watering images I’d ever seen in my life) Upon receiving my waffle it looked almost too good to eat and tasted every bit as amazing. I had a waffle topped with lemon curd, light and fluffy sweetened cream cheese, lots of fresh strawberries and blueberries, and topped with some graham crumbles. It was inexpensive and better than pretty much any waffle I’ve ever had. It was utterly fantastic and the woman running the shack was a pleasure to chat with! This food cart is one of the best kept secrets in this city… my god I’m already craving another one!

Yummy waffles with naughty names. I had the PDXXX, a nutella with almond butter spread and a cherry on top. Tasty and I can’t wait to try them all. I didn’t realize how big it was but totally worth the gorge. The savory waffles looked good but I had already had lunch. Next time I visit this stand, and I will, I shall request my waffle to be a bit crisper but that is my preference.

Love that it’s one of the few food carts in Portland that opens at 7:30am for breakfast waffle sandwich. I had the ½ waffle with egg, cheese and tomato for $ 4. Very fluffy and crispy waffle. The owner is very nice to make mine with tomato instead of bacon. Would come back again. Makes a nice cheap breakfast.

Oh yum, the warm, chewy perfect-tectured waffle with nutella melted inside and powdered sugar sprinkled on top was awesome. Too bad I couldn’t just get half of one, since one is way too much as a dessert.($ 4 for my order). Chose it since it was one of the few dessert carts in the pod at 10th and adler — was happy it was there and I stopped by!
