Established in 2012.
Persia Baking was founded by food enthusiasts who wanted to start a project that involved food and community. The idea was birthed during a visit to a local international market in Portland, OR in late 2011. During the visit, we noticed the happiness and excitement of customers who were purchasing Persian pastries and sangak (traditional Persian flatbread). These joyful feelings originated from childhood memories of routinely picking up bread and pastries from the neighborhood baker.
We knew then that we wanted to become that neighborhood baker, delighting the community through bread and pastries. After many months in a kitchen refining traditional pastry recipes and obtaining feedback from the Persian community, we created a selection of delicious products that can be found at your local markets. Through these carefully crafted, traditional recipes, Persia Baking aspires to create happiness and bring back great childhood memories.
