My child has been there for a few years now. It has really helped him with discipline and being able to control his emotions. I think it will be a big part of how he enters teenage years here very soon. The instructors are some of the best I have seen. I have been doing martial arts since I was young and this school caught my heart. I hope others will give their children the same chance. They also have a great adult program for those that want to start or those that are experienced who wish to join a great school of Aikido.

The Kid’s Martial Art program is one of the oldest in the Portland area. Instructors have 20 years or more of experience, Children can train if they are diaper free and the costs are reasonable. Many parents find Ki-Aikido are more gentle approach.

The Oregon Ki Society(OKS) instructors teach students how to reduce stress, increase their ability to relax, and increase mental focus through universal Ki principles. OKS teaches students how to coordinate mind and body in order to calm and focus the mind, which is our original and natural state. When one’s mind is calm he/she can perform at his/her best. Instructors at OKS are very experienced and teach universal Ki principles of non-dissension where instead of conflicting with your partner or an interpersonal obstacle the student learns to focus on his/her process of universal harmony, thus eliminating any conflict. Ki principles are taught through Ki development exercises, Ki stretching, meditation, Ki breathing, Kiatsuho, and Aikido(a dynamic Japanese martial art). Oregon Ki Society has world class instructors to assist students of all ages.
