Feel free to contact me and I will give you the full details. I picked out my gas insert on 9÷5÷15, It was a high end Heat and Glo. I paid several hundred dollars extra to get it installed by the end of September. The Gas Insert did not work properly from the day it was installed. It would run for anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours and shut off by itself. The only way to get it to start again was open the front and press the re-​set button, then it would do it all over again, turn itself off randomly and be in «lock out» mode.
It was was finally fixed on 10÷22÷15, more than a MONTH later. I had to endure SIX visits from NW Natural Gas (the guys only work 2 days a week so lots of waiting inbetween visits), also the original installer came out several times to troubleshoot the issue.
Instead of just replacing the unit which I kept asking for, I had to jump thru hoops with visit after visit of them replacing parts.
Finally they replaced the final part and it now works fine. They did not offer anything to me for all the time they wasted (each visit was in a 2.5 to 3 hour window I had to sit around and wait.)
UPDATE: I emailed the Manager of NW Natural Gas Appliance Center, Dan Pope, who read my page of notes and called to explain that they had to jump thru the Manufacturer’s hoops. That is not my issue, no offer of any recompense to pay me for all the hours I had to sit around waiting for either Evergreen or their technicians to come back.
I have never been so disappointed in my life, I would highly recommend you go elsewhere.

What a great store. It has every type of gas appliance or fireplace insert you would ever want to check out.
I’ve been down here a couple of times recently trying to decide on the best fireplace insert for my particular fireplace.
I’ve finally made a decision and I’m planning on moving forward very soon.
The staff at the store is very helpful with many options to present to you.
