This was the best series of Pilates classes I’ve ever taken. McKenzie took a few minutes at the beginning of my initial eval to make sure I understood the basic anatomy that we’d be working in class and teach me about the verbal cuing they use there. No other Pilates instructor has ever done that and, while I knew a lot already for a non-medical person, it was fantastic to know for sure what the instructor meant during class instead of making a somewhat educated guess and hoping I was doing it right. The classes are kept small, and are offered in 6-week series. While this seemed inconvenient and off-putting at first, once I started the classes, I understood why they do it this way. Everyone starts out with similar experience level and progresses together through the 6 weeks. And we had fun together! I’d give them 5 stars if only there were more class times and/or weekend classes. But overall I love this place! Even though it’s not located close to work OR home, I’ll definitely come back to Moving Moxie!
