History
Established in 2014.
Movement Bodywork is the culmination of experiences as a collegiate athlete, professional dancer, and normal human dealing with multi-year injuries, daily computer use, and my road through rehabilitation.
After torn muscles, tendons and ligaments, hernias and spinal strains, through movement and structural and myofascial therapy techniques, it IS possible to restore our body’s function! It IS possible to restore and improve the stability, mobility, and strength we once had. It is possible to live pain-free again.
Movement Bodywork is my way of giving to people what I know is available and effective.

Samuel H.
Business Owner
Born and raised in Oregon, Samuel Hobbs LMT was a collegiate athlete until he turned professional dancer in 2005; performing and teaching contemporary modern dance both nationally and internationally. Experiencing major injuries, Samuel took a hiatus from the dance scene; going on walkabout in the Appalachian Mountains to work in Wilderness Therapy with At-Risk Youth.
Returning to Oregon, and the professional dance scene, in 2012, Samuel continued feeding his fervor and knowledge of the human body, enrolling at East West College for the Healing Arts.
Since graduation, Samuel’s path has focused his energies towards structural bodywork, craniosacral and myofascial manual therapies including nerve and artery mobilization. Samuel continues to diver deeper into jaw, throat, neck, spine and pelvic issues.
