Millenicom Internet Service

After finally receiving the product in which they promised 200mb and unlimited non-​lte after the first month… they sent an email saying ALL BETS ARE OFF! YUp… ZERO free data after the first month and basically to suck it up.

Not even mad that the order was cancelled. It happens, things run out of stock, it’s a part of business that’s hard to avoid. However…
The lack of communication nearly 2 weeks in was troubling to say the least. If too many orders were taken, it shouldn’t take 2 weeks to figure out if you can fulfill it or not.

Ordered an iPad air 16GB with LTE on Friday 14 February. Credit card was charged, and then today (Tuesday) my order gets cancelled with an email stating they ran out of stock. HOWEVER, the exact same item is still for sale right this very minute on their website’s homepage, at an price $ 100 MORE than the price advertised and sold to me on Friday. Scam. If you don’t have inventory, don’t offer things for sale. If you accept a sale, make sure you ship the item as promised.

Aweful Company, Complete bait and switch tactics. Purchased their valentines day special on iPad only to get order cancelled 4 days later. Now if you go their site you can order the same item for $ 100 more. Also the site continues to give error when you login. Be weary of giving them your info or credit cards.

Worst customer service ever. They use bait and switch, offering a deal, telling you it’s going to ship then cancel it. Kind of worried about my cc information sold to a third party.

I got scammed by the Valentine Ipad deal. They canceled my order after 4 days and my credit card was charged during that time. I don’t see how it is fair that they were able to collect all of my data and I get nothing but a cancellation e-​mail in retun! Needless to say I am very unhappy with Millenicom!!!

Terrible company practices, using the bait and switch tactic. The company is not to be trusted. Order an item they advertised for cheap and they cancelled my ordered five days earlier and even deleted my account.
I think they just try to collect CC numbers. I had to call my credit card and cancel my credit card, as I was scared for fraud.

Same as everyone else here. Placed the order on 2pm PST, Feb 14. Contact Live Chat, things looked good and then I get the noticed of cancellation today. I actually logged in and checked my account with them last night on their site. And they took it off pending and put it in the Status: PAID (under invoice history). Well, too good to be true.
Was this just bait to lure people to the site for a cheap deal and then raise it an extra $ 100 shortly after?

Run away the other direction because this company is not to be trusted. This company offered iPads at $ 100 off and cancelled all orders afterwards despite having the iPads in stock again on their website for $ 100 MORE than they initially advertised. The customer service is rude as hell, unresponsive, and difficult to find.
Any and all electronics you order from this company regardless of the $$$ amount will be shipped by them via USPS with NO signature confirmation. There are horror stories of iPads lost during shipping with no replacement or refund given.

Millenicom is good in terms of its rates for a US company but its service is poor and as it uses Verizon and Sprint their people have no visibility into the telephone companies systems. All the Millenicom people can do is relay information to Verizon and wait for a reply, and wait and wait.
If you go over the usage limit you will have service terminated immediately for the remainder of your billing period. And you will not get any notice that you are approaching the limit and Millenicom provides no way to know what your period to date usage actually is.
Customers of Millenicom have to send in a support ticket requesting usage information and then wait for Millenicom to forward the request to Verizon and for a person at Verizon to look it up and then email the information back to Millenicom and then someone at Millenicom has to send the information back to the customer.
For us this takes more than a week so by the time we get the response we do not even no what period it covers. We still find ourselves going to the library or other public hotspot to download files or do software updates with our laptops.

The customer service was very quick. I was able to get through to talk to representatives very quickly without waiting times. Unfortunately, they never had any answer to any of my basic questions such as how long would it take for my order to ship or even «how is this item different from the seemingly identical item next to it» with only a name change.
That wouldn’t warrant scouring the internet for a place to warn other potential customers though. What really disappointed me with this company is that they told me my order for the iPad mini retina display went through successfully, charged me the complete amount, had my order pending for a full week, and then told me it was cancelled because they didn’t want to get any more to ship me a simple ipad. The charge had already gone through my card and I had already paid my credit card bill. What other company makes a charge before shipping out an item and then waits a week before telling me that I’m never going to get it. I even contacted them during the meantime and they never had any information to give me.
This company is completely amateur. They’ve got good rates but it doesn’t seem like they’ll hesitate to screw you. They don’t know how to make proper policies and no one ever has any idea what’s going on. Full disclosure, they did offer me the chance to downgrade my order to a non retina iPad mini. Thanks for giving me the chance to get something I really didn’t want.
My friend also ordered the non retina from them and she was able to get that shipped to her at least. Of course it took several days since her first order never appeared to exist despite getting an automatic emailed invoice for it. She has to call in to find out what was going on she there was no record of her order but an invoice was sitting in her inbox. Eventually, she just ordered again and it was all peachy. Not a perfect encounter but it worked out better than mine.

We live in an area that is not serviced by either DSL or cable, so wireless broadband is about our only choice. And we’re both on the internet almost all day, so we need a data plan above the normal 5 GB. They had a wireless broadband USB device with an unlimited data plan that worked well for us, until Sprint decided to prevent Millenicom from reselling the unlimited plan. We transferred service to their 20 GB Verizon MiFi hotspot plan. Received the new device in one day, and it worked great right out of the box. I like Millenicom, just hope that they can continue to offer plans that provide more data than the ridiculous 5 GB plans that the big companies offer. Customer service has been friendly and very helpful unlike BMI​.Net, which promised to send me a wireless broadband USB device with an unlimited plan that I never received (no device, no confirmation email, no phone call — nothing at all).

Millenicom shipped our first modem quickly and as soon as I unboxed it, it powered up and had full 3G connectivity where I was at the time. Millenicom’s Website estimated full 3G and it is what I received. The first modem I received was for their Hotspot Plan.
I tested the modem in a urban setting and received full 4G, speeds comparable to Comcast.
After I felt confident the company /​offering was good, I ordered a second plan on the BYOD Plan. I hard ordered a modem off of eBay and called customer service on a Saturday. The rep was knowledgeable and within 15 minutes our second modem was online and working. It has provided us reliable 4G time after time.
As a technology professional, I wanted redundant carriers and Millenicom delivered. I have used one or both of the modems in national parks, state parks, and in urban settings. Depending on which carrier has the stronger signal, I use the appropriate modem.
I would recommend Millenicom to anyone travelling. As a full-​time RVer, the cost savings and straight forward pricing is a huge plus.

Wireless service is slower than dialup. They took three days to setup my account. Then when I called to request cancellation due to slow service, they never cancelled it. I called a week later and they were like, you were outside your 24 hour refund window, sorry no refund!
