Metro Express Collision Repair

Horrific experience, still ongoing. My car was towed there because they have towing contract with insurance. It is 7 weeks later. I still have no car. They are «waiting for parts.» At week 4 I went to the shop expecting it to be finished and found the car disassembled as on day 1 with nothing done. Said I would be back the next day to have the car taken elsewhere, and the next day it was suddenly up on a lift and inaccessible. Every day a new promise about getting it back in another day or two, and this goes on for several weeks more. Still needs parts. Still needs to be painted. 7 weeks they have had it. No idea when (if?) I will get it back. Because of the dishonesty I will take it to another garage to have it inspected because they have zero integrity and I cannot trust quality of work any more than efficiency. DON’T LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE !!!
Update: Had to get insurance company involved and call daily for weeks. Finally got my car after 3 months, but dash lights were on and it had no brakes, paint was splattered everywhere, parts not replaced, new parts scratched and needing replacement again. The coup de grace? Discovered that he forged my name on the insurance check and cashed it without authorization the first day he had the car.

I’ve only been here for an oil change, so that’s all I can attest to.
That being said, this place was GREAT! I brought my own oil/​filter, so the labor charge to drain and replace it was super cheap ($ 5, though it’s not an official price, just an off the cuff figure thrown out by the manager). Living in a quaint PDX apartment I don’t have the wheel ramps, oil pan, etc for changing it on my own, but even if I did, for that price, I’ll be going there from now on!
I think it’s ~$ 13 – 14 for a regular oil/​filter change if you don’t bring your own, again, a decent deal compared to $ 20+ at Jiffylube or the like (though I can’t attest to the quality/​brand of their oil/​filters).
Anyway, I had a great experience here and I’ll definitely be back!

I have never had to have my car fixed before so I was really dreading the process. Some lady in truck backed in to me and messed up my bumper, not a big deal but it looked bad. I took it too three places and Metro was half the price. Not only that but they forgot they gave me a quote already and when I went back it was even cheaper! So the check made out for repairs was double so they said they would do that amount of work on the car! They took out dents, did some repainting –they even cleaned the inside of my car. I’m definetely going to use them again, unfortunately I was rear ended and need the back side fixed this time! Will it ever end?

The free deductible is very appealing and that was the only reason we went there. The body work was okay. We’ve had the car crashed at the same spot before and could definitely see that Metro Collision did not do the repair as good as the other body shop we usually use. I would have given it a 3-​star if they had not placed a burnt head light in my vehicle. Unfortunately, I just noticed the issue weeks later because I went on a trip. When I took the vehicle back there and complained about it, they kinda of brushed me off and told me that all I had to do was buy a bulb and replace it. Bad customer service!

I was in a minor fender-​bender on July 3^rd and the guys at Metro Express fixed the back of my car perfectly! It looks better than the day I bought it. This is a great location with friendly staff and quick service. I would recommend them to anyone.
