LOVE this place! Great range of true vintage (40s-​60s) and the men’s selection is superb. My partner bought a plaid 40s Ricky jacket and 50s gabardine shirts at very reasonable prices. I got a lemon lucite 50s handbag.
Would recommend this for the vintage collectors

This is a lovely and well kept shop. However it is a little pricey, and many of the clothes are in a size small. I feel that this shop would be best suited for those who collect vintage clothing items in good condition, and not those looking to casually shop for vintage/​thrift items, which makes it not very accessible to the general public Nice place though and nice lady working at the counter. Heavy focus on dresses and coats.

First, vintage shopping is not something I normally do, perhaps 2 times in last 10 years. Came in here with wife and left with early 1950’s sport jacket. The proprietor was a blast, great conversation, sweet little shop. This is the kind of place where you see and feel the heart put into creating a special small business. Worth a few minutes of your shopping time, never know what may be waiting for you.

Living Threads Vintage is a good place to look for vintage pieces.
The store is well-​organized. The selections are nice and are all in great condition. It is also very nice that they have as much items for men as for women. The prices range from cheap (less than $ 10) to expensive (~$ 250). Then again keep in mind that my way of coming up with that price range is a belt ($ 10) and a vintage Chanel coat (~$ 250), which I guess means they are reasonable. And as was the case with everyone I have interacted with in Portland, their staff was super nice!
I will go back when I am in Portland.

Nice little vintage clothing store downtown. They have a lot of various things for various tastes. Much of it didn’t suit my style, but I could see a lot of people enjoying it. I did find a very nice vintage wool skinny tie from the 60s for $ 20 that I bought on the spot. Also got a nice silk off white pocket square for $ 15. I plan on coming back whenever I am close and checking to see if they have any hidden gems.

Being a big guy, I can rarely walk into a store and find something I’m happy with. This is even less true of vintage, consignment or thrift stores. Imagine my surprise when I walked into Living Threads, found a trench coat I’d been passively looking for over the last year or two AND IT FIT PERFECTLY. Not only did it fit, it was in great shape despite being the better part of 50 years old. Bonus points for it being from a somewhat well known Portland clothier… not that I had any freaking clue without the staff telling me a much.
I’ve been in my fair share of vintage shops and, despite being pretty small, LTV had one of the most interesting collections. The wife and I found a lot of things we liked, including several things we’d totally rock that aren’t exactly in style these days. In the end, we only walked out with one thing because we couldn’t justify what we felt were marginally high prices given it’s used clothing.

I’m so glad I decided to stop in here. (Persuaded by other positive Unilocal reviews). Like all vintage stores, it’s hit or miss in terms of style and size, but they definitely have a solid collection of QUALITY items. That’s what really sets this place apart. Who really has time to shuffle through racks of used h&m clothes anyway? I left with a fantastic 70s dress for $ 30, and I plan to keep checking in as they rotate inventory.

She appears to be interested only in things that trigger memories for her, that remind her of things she used to own, or that she thinks would be good for me now as I am living my life, making my own memories of moments like these.

Other Portland vintage stores may be bigger, fancier, and sport better selections of certain kinds of clothing, but for some reason I always have trouble finding clothes that suit and fit me.
I never have that problem here. Every time I stroll inside, I always find something I can wear and afford. The number of items Living Threads carries may be small, but they always seem to have the *best* stuff. Their approach to inventory is especially great for me because I don’t enjoy sorting through thousands of items; I want the good stuff, but I don’t want it to take all day.
In my five or so visits to Living Threads, I’ve come home with silk button-​end suspenders; 60s polyester trousers; 70s button-​down shirts; and even an exceedingly fine and unique handmade suit. It’s the best suit I’ve ever worn, and the whole thing was $ 90. That’s how much Hollywood Vintage charges for a tie clasp. Since I never have this kind of success at any other Portland vintage shop, Living Threads remains my favorite. Well done, folks.

Great things often come in small packages, or so the saying goes. This small, yet fabulous shop rocks.
The ratio of women’s to men’s clothing is about ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ and the items are in terrific condition.
The folks working there, a husband and wife team are friendly and helpful. I really appreciate their willingness and good attitude when I asked to have some display items taken down for me to try on just for fun. I let them know I didn’t have the funds to buy at the time, but they insisted it was no problem. Very cool of them.
They are closed on Sunday and Monday so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of making a special trip downtown.
This is one of my favorite vintage shops in downtown Portland and we do have several. If you are into vintage, I wager you will become a fan as well.

One of my favorite shops in town! Owned by the sweetest couple, they have a great eye. They offer a wide variety of decades and have a killer mens section. The shop is small but jam packed with a curated collection of beautiful vintage. I only wish I could get down there more often for a friendly chat and lovely shopping experience.

Having lived in Portland for 6 years now I’ve come to be a bit particular about vintage clothing. After all it seems there are at least 3 «vintage» stores in any district or neighborhood. Living Threads Vintage has to be one of the best in the city.
The selection of clothing is every changing and reflects what was going on then, and now. It seems they really make a point to be on trend and still true to the vintage aesthetic. Some of the best vintage pieces in my wardrobe came from here. Above all I really appreciate their keen eye for QUALITY vintage. I’ve never seen a piece with a snag or stain in the shop. Not to mention the staff is always really helpful and cute.
I just wish every vintage store in the city had it together like this place.
Overall, just an amazing well curated TRUE vintage shop.

On vacation I was determined to hit a few vintage spots seeing as people’s collections may differ from what we’ve got back home here in San DIego. We walked halfway across downtown on our last day in Portland to see what Living Threads had. As someone who hits vintage shops on the regular I was fairly unimpressed with what I saw that particular day although prices were pretty fair. Although, even the best shops have their off days, perhaps this was one of them. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and when he heard we were out of towners with limited suitcase space for the flight back he offered to ship us whatever garment we found, a gesture that was well appreciated. Sadly we could not take him up on the offer since neither my husband or I found anything that struck us but maybe next time we’re in town I’ll take a look if we’re in the area.

Like some of the other reviewers, I stumbled across this FAGULOUS (yes I said Fagulous)… I went in and met Christina… OMG OMG what a pleasure to find a shop owner who loves what they do and it shows in their way they great customers and assist them and how well their store is merchandised… just small enough for you to take in all the intimate charm of the place… NOT like Ray’s Ragtime-​larger establishment, but Ray’s crams everything in their store, so you really can not see the beauty of the items… and Ray’s is WAY over priced… I digress… I spent a good hour talking to Christine… she knows her stuff. I watched her assist customers… very knowledgeable of her merchandise and goes out of her way to give suggestions… some Vintage shops just sell you the clothing… well Christine sell you an experience… looking forward to going back again.

Living Threads is a real gem in the vintage shopping scene here in Portland. If you’re sick of coming across ripped out hems and a lackluster selection of shoes and searching for QUALITY vintage, then Living Threads is your place.
Not only is there a lovely selection of ladies wear (everything from hats to jackets and turn of the century to groovy 70s), the mens stuff is just amazing and among one of the best places for mens wear in the Rose City.
Additionally, the owners are just downright adorable, as well as super nice and helpful!

I came across this fine little store when wandering around Portland one fine Saturday afternoon. Great selection of quality vintage clothes and other items.
I didn’t buy anything that day, but only because the items I liked were not my size.
I will definitely return in search of treasures.

Fantastic little vintage clothing boutique focusing on the 50s and 60s era. They have a great selection that’s carefully chosen so as not to waste any space, with good variety for both men and women.
My wife found a great dress for $ 20, and there was a solid selection of suit jackets, shoes, and dress wear that I’ll be back for.
They have a small amount of space dedicated to nick-​nacks of the era, but the selection of non-​clothing items was their weakest point.

I stopped in the other day for a warm weather coat and walked out with a Pendlteton tweed in fantastic condition. I’ve been in once before for a piece of glassware.
This cozy shop is extremely well curated, and I find the prices to be very reasonable, *especially* considering the quality of the products here. The owner is clearly a treasure hunter of the first degree.
I consider this place to be a mandatory stop for any serious vintage buying excursion.

I adore this store. I go in regularly (at least once a week) and they always have new great finds. Christine is so knowledgeable and has even gone above and beyond to help me find the special pieces I’m looking for. All the items at Living Threads Vintage are in great condition. I think the prices are more than fair. You get good quality items at a reasonable price.
The thing that I love the best about this shop (besides the great quality clothing!) is the setup. All the items are very well displayed. None of the racks are over crowded or hard to look through. The layout is easy to navigate and the store is spotless. It makes shopping vintage so much less of a hassle. Many of the shops in Portland go for quantity over quality and I hate searching through racks and racks to maybe find one good item. This is not the case at Living Threads Vintage, every single item in the entire store is something I could easily walk home with. This is my favorite vintage store in all of Portland and I look forward to my weekly visit!
