Laurie is the best. I could not possibly recommend her any more highly. She works tirelessly for you. She was patient as I looked for houses for months, and managed to find me a perfect house in a great location that I never thought I’d be able to get into because finding anything that’s close-​in usually costs a fortune. So, yeah, great, she somehow found me a kickass house that was just what (and where) I wanted, and stayed close to my budget… but that’s not even the half of it. When we made an offer, she advocated for me and helped guide me on how to make a strong offer. After it was accepted, she was invaluable during the buying process. She helped negotiate for the sellers to pay for some repairs that needed to be done to the house. Most of all, she was there for me every step of the way. Any questions or concerns I had about any step of the buying process was answered promptly. And if she didn’t have an answer, she found one quickly. Add in a whole bunch of personal touches and friendly gestures along the way, and it’s easy to see why people recommend Laurie. Before my friend recommended her, I was trying to work with another agent, and having little success. The difference between Laurie and an average agent is ridiculous. Don’t mess around with less than the best; you want Laurie. I promise.

Laurie Gilmer is amazing!!! She works so hard for her clients and genuinely cares about you and your family. Her expert advice helped us to take a leap of faith and put our St. John’s condo on the market this spring. We sold it a week later and wound up buying our absolute dream house in SE Portland! She really takes the time to get to know you and figure out how to make your dreams a reality. She kept working for us long after the buying/​selling transactions were over, even bringing us delicious Oaxacan cart food the day we moved into our little house. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her and have no idea how she finds the time to do all that she does. She is true awesomeness.

Laurie managed to make the house hunt in a frantic market not only logical but fun. We not only enjoyed (and looked forward to) seeing her but we were always kept in the loop. each step of the process. That helped. The market was crazy but Laurie was our rock… from explanations of how things would unfold to spot-​on predictions of what was a good risk (or not) we worked with Laurie to finally find the house we wanted. She negotiates and has no problem going to bat for you. She also has no problem telling you what not to risk. She got us MORE than we were expecting to get for our home AND we always had a great laugh when seeing her. What a sense of humor. I highly recommend Laurie (and Think Realty) as the person to call for that trust and relationship you need in a realtor. Thank you Laurie!

Laurie was the best Realtor my husband and I have interacted with. She is so professional. She knows the Portland market really well and was able to guestimate what our home could sell for and she was spot on. The offer that we accepted came in above the asking price just as she had anticipated. My husband and I were getting ready to relocate out of state and she went above and beyond by identifying hvac and other technicians for us. This was so amazingly helpful because rather than spending energy on finding service providers for a home that we were moving out of we were able to focus on the move itself and ensure that our transition went as smooth as possible. A few other pieces that I really appreciated about working with Laurie is that every detail counted. She hires a real photographer to ensure your home is captured in its best light, she advertises EVERYWHERE, and thinks of all the ways to get the hype out there about your property. Her company invested in having a real For Sale sign posted in the front yard with a QR code so that people could snap the code with their smart phone to pull up the details about the property on their phones. So if you are looking for a full service realtor. She is the one for you. I would use her again in a heartbeat if we didn’t move to another state.

Laurie is the best realtor in town, she is joy to be around, and she has a hot convertible so you can bask in the sunshine while she drives you around to look at houses.
1:) Best realtor in town: This is a fact, not an opinion. She knows her shit and her ranking in the state of oregon proves it. Her confidence in the negotiation process is backed with skill, experience, and knowledge. She can be trusted to handle the deal from start to finish (and beyond) with full devotion, accuracy, and professionalism.
2:) Joy to be around: Buying and selling a house (we used her for both) can be very stressful. She made the process fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. Laurie has the ability to calm the nerves and make people feel comfortable. She also has a contagious laugh that will make you smile. Overall, she is just a treat! I couldn’t imagine going through this process again without her.

I wish I could give this woman more than five stars. There’s not a doubt in my mind that without Laurie on our side, we would not have our house. She went far beyond the call of duty every step of the way.
We were moving to Portland from out of state and didn’t even know which neighborhood we wanted to live in. As first time home buyers, Laurie took the time to really find out what we needed in a house and to break down what can certainly be called a daunting process.
We decided to come for an exploratory day and Laurie set up 16 houses for us to look at. Just that morning, a house came down in price into our range and she managed to set up a last minute viewing for us. It was the last house we saw and it blew everything else out of the water. We LOVED it and Laurie said «I’m going to get you this house.» And boy did she.
There was another bidder and Laurie helped us figure out what we needed to make a competitive offer. Then she went to present it in person! And who could say no to this woman? But it didn’t stop with her getting us the house. As we lived out of state, Laurie oversaw the whole escrow process– recommending our mortgage broker (who we love), scheduling and overseeing the inspector and various tradespeople coming to and repairing the house, checking herself to make sure everything was done properly (and re-​scheduling appointments when it wasn’t), checking in with us and taking the time to answer any and all of our questions, the list goes on.
If you’re looking for a knowledgable, experienced, extremely personable, energetic, enthusiastic and talented broker, stop right here. You’ve found her.

Based on the recommendation of our mortgage broker, we worked with Laurie on the sale of our condo in Multnomah Village, It was a challenging sale because of ownership issues in the community but Laurie worked tirelessly to complete this sale. I had absolute confidence moving out of state, leaving all details under Laurie’s watchful eye. She took over for me with regard to painting, minor repairs and a final clean-​up, then staged the home so well I wanted to move back in! Laurie understood our disappointment when an offer was rescinded and kept us focused on the intrinsic value and worth of the condo. She talked us out of reducing the price and celebrated with us when the unit sold — for the asking price! As the process worked to a satisfactory conclusion, I grew anxious yet Laurie was able to talk me out of my panic and for her calm confidence, (based, clearly on her vast experience) I’m so very grateful. She truly went to bat for us at every turn in this process. We’ll return to Portland in five years and, as our newly appointed Realtor for Life, I know we will contact Laurie for our next home purchase.

As far as I am concerned, Laurie is a magician. She worked tirelessly to find us a place that fit our limited budget and our specific needs. She has been in the business for many, many years. Last year she had over 50 house transactions. She knows the Portland market and gives great advice on any real estate question you may have. And I had a lot of questions! She is professional, efficient, honest, caring, smart, and experienced. My friend recommended her and I recommend her without hesitation. We were doing a 1031 exchange, and we are from out of state, so our situation was more complicated than most, but she handled everything, even the long distance communication, with reliability and promptness and resourcefulness.
