INPOWER, an evidence based customized fitness program for cancer survivors spanning from time of diagnosis through survivorship designed specifically to reduce number and intensity of side effects, improve quality of life, and help with overall recovery.
History
Established in 2005.
Laura has spent her professional career in health and wellness as a fitness trainer/instructor/consultant. Working for the Multnomah Athletic Club for several years training individuals focusing on continued rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, cardiovascular disease, as well as conditioning competative athletes and teaching nutrition and weight management.
When Laura’s grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2003, her focus changed. She witnessed firsthand the rapid decline in physical and mental strength. She realized the enormous impact and importance staying active is for cancer patients as well as her undeniable passion for working with survivors.
Laura began working side by side with an oncology nurse creating the Inpower program and running it successfully since its inception in 2005.

Business Owner
Laura has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon in Exercise and Movement Science. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist through University of Northern Colorado, and has trained in the Well-Fit program in Santa Barbara.
