I stopped in to have some work done on a ring. I brought it in on Monday. They said they would call me with am estimate by Thursday but it should be around 150 $. After not receiving a call I went in on Friday morning. After waiting 10 min while my order was found. They then called the person who would be doing the work. It was clearly the first time that he had considered my ring. They told me it would 510 $ for the work. I asked for the ring back, they told me to come back in two days because my ring was offsite. 4 issues: 1. Lack of communication 2. Improper customer expectations set up 3. They did not tell me they were taking my ring offsite 4. Making me wait to get my ring back. I am very frustrated with the service provided at this location and I will never recommend my family or friends to any Fred Meyer Jewelers.

Worst Jeweler I have every been to! A year ago for my birthday my boyfriend gave me a very nice pendant that he had bought at Fred Meyer Jewelers. I decided since it was a nice pendant to get a nice box chain to help insure I woudn’t lose the pendant due to the chain breaking. After wearing this chain and pendant for about 6 months — taking very good care of it(taking it off at night, not swimming in it, etc) the chain broke due to no negligence from me. I took it back to see what could be done to fix this chain. They asked if I had purchased their insurance(+$ 90) and I said I hadn’t. They informed me that since I hadn’t purchased their insurance I would have to pay to get it fixed. I was a little irritated with this — I had purchased a nice chain and while I did decline the insurance, not being able to stand behind a $ 300 chain for more than a few months is pathetic in terms of customer service and quality. I wasn’t expecting it to last forever but was a least expecting to get a few years wear out of it. So, I paid the $ 30 to have them sauder the chain back together and left. Well, the chain broke again in 2 weeks and not only did it break I lost the pendant my boyfriend had given me. I was VERY irritated at this point. I took it back and they informed me they would fix it… for ANOTHER $ 30. I explained my story to the young girl and she showed no sympathy and did not care one bit about my frustrations. She was very stuck up and was even talking down to me. I will never purchase from here again! It is pretty pathetic when a company cannot stand behind their product for a few months but it is really pathetic when they cannot stand behind their product for a few weeks. I ended up taking the chain to one of their competitors and they were so appalled by the service I had received they offered to sauder it back for me for free! They have a lifetime customer.
