Hi! I’m Dan Summerfeldt, and finding the right lending fit for my family and friends (and their family and friends) is not only my job, it’s the most rewarding career yet.

In 1992, I began helping people as a financial planner. A few years later, my business partner and I caught the entrepreneurial bug. I traded my business suit for coveralls and we bought a portable toilet company in Alaska, soon earning me the nickname, «Rent-​a-​Can Dan.» My wife bravely put up with the «bathroom humor» we endured for several years before her company relocated her to Portland, Oregon in 1998. Shortly after that, I sold my share of the business and moved to Oregon where I was encouraged to return to financial planning w, including a side business as a mortgage broker. After helping my first few clients with their mortgage, I was hooked, and decided to become «Dan, the Mortgage Man,» focusing exclusively on helping people purchase or refinance their homes.
