Specialties
Pacific Pie Company specializes in savory pies, pasties, and sausage rolls. We have a full restaurant menu with GF and Vegan shepherd’s pies, appetizers, a range of salads, and beer, wine, and cocktails. You can also take your pies to go, either hot or to bake at home.
All of our items are handmade and feature the best local and organic ingredients. We purchase our meat directly from family farms in Oregon, our flour is sustainably harvested, and our butter is local and rBST free.
We also make amazing sweet pies — Chocolate Peanut Butter, Key Lime, Chocolate Bourbon Hazelnut, Apple Sour Cream Struesel and special seasonal flavors with Oregon fruit.
History
Established in 2009.
Pacific Pie Company was launched in 2009 when husband and wife team Sarah + Chris moved to Portland from Chris’ native Australia. Chris was homesick for all things Aussie, including meat pies, so Sarah started baking them for him… and a business was born!
Sarah and Chris started by selling their pies at local farmer’s markets, and then opened a small café in Southeast Portland in 2010.
As word spread about Pacific Pie Co’s amazing handmade pies they quickly outgrew their original location, and started building a new bakery + restaurant at 1520 SE 7th Ave (formerly home to Roots Organic Brewing), which opened in May 2011 with a quick service bakery and a full service restaurant and bar. Today Sarah and Chris are proud to employee a large team of dedicated bakers, cooks, and servers.

She then traveled to Australia for what was supposed to be a 1 year research fellowship… but she fell in love with an Aussie and Australia, and married her husband Chris in 2002. Sarah and Chris moved to the States in 2008 and Pacific Pie Co was launched when Chris became homesick for savory pies, the iconic food of Australia.
