Roger came out this morning and installed my new stereo. He was extremely professional, courteous, and proficient. Excellent service, went out of his way to make sure it was done right, even after a small snafu. I would highly recommend them.

What a find! I’m so glad to have found these guys. I was referred to Eastside Mobile Electronics by my dealer rep. They do nice clean work, fast and efficient at a value price. These guys are such a nice alternative to the stereo shops in town. Not only do they come to you but guess who pays for that big building and advertising the other guys have???

These guys just left me with a beautifully installed stereo, and it could not have been easier or more pleasant. I ordered the stereo and parts online thinking I’d install it myself, but I ended up getting my factory radio stuck in the car and gave up. Roger and Cody came out, undid my damage and installed the new setup in less than 45 minutes. They even cleaned up the marks from where I had tried to pry the old stereo out in desperation. And it was less expensive than I expected. I’ll definitely be asking these guys to perform any upgrades I want in the future.

i called around and picked these guys because they SAID they’d do it for 200 wheras everyone else wanted at least 225.
ended up charging me 250 and you can barely hear the tweeters even though theres an amp on them. also couldnt supply me with a passive crossver and didnt equalize everything like i asked.
but i have to take stars off mostly because the speakers i had them install are barely audible, even though i asked the guy to wire them parallel to bring the ohms down. he obviously wired them in series, making them 8ohms instead of 2

If you want someone that takes the time to share with you his knowledge on electronics and the difference in quality and pricing, not pressuring — and he even drives to you; you’re in for a great experience. Even Stereo King doesnt come close. Thanks Roger!

I was originally going to car toys for a Bluetooth stereo and alarm. I came across east side mobile electronics and loved the reviews and that they come to you. Roger the owner was great and within two days they were at my house doing the installation. Not only did they come to me but they were cheaper than car toys. They did a fantastic job, they walked me through it and Tim the installer was really good… He even fixed a minor fog light wiring problem for me. Within five minutes of completion of services, Roger the owner called me to follow up on the work and ensure everything went well and thank me for my business. It’s great to support a quality local business and one that understands the importance of customer service.

Roger came out today, spent an hour fixing my stereo and amp and only charged me $ 75 bucks. Previously some joker from Craigslist came out charged me $ 50 bucks and all he could tell me was the previous installer did a horrible wiring job without figuring out the problem.
Roger said the previous wiring job was fine. I should have used these guys first, Roger knows his stuff and is super reasonable and friendly.

Roger was really helpful. I bought a bluetooth stereo off Amazon, and he installed with a back up camera all for a reasonable price. He even met me at my house to do the work.

These guys have done work for myself, and my friends for years. I cannot reccomend them enough. The ease, service, and value they provide compared to Best Buy or Cartoys is insane. They come to you, install the best gear at the best price, and are gone. 5 big stars.

I had a new CD player/​radio installed. The installer was polite, professional, on time (actually early) and, cleaned up after himself. He explained some technical things I wasn’t familiar with. He pointed up a speaker issue I had and gave me options to address the issue, but didn’t pressure me to.

Customer service and convenience are important to me, they more than exceeded my expectations in these regards. They did an outstanding job of meeting all my needs in a timely manner. They came to me and made the whole instillation process very easy.
Roger was very friendly and great to deal with.

Roger is the man when it comes to customer service. Took my car to CarToys and the wanted an arm and a leg just to install a stereo and a couple speakers. Roger gave me a great price on speakers and installation and was one of the friendliest people throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Eastside for any car accessories.

Roger Keto is the king in cruise control installment and customer service. My car didn’t have cruise control. After reviewing the instructions for installment, I realized I didn’t have the necessary tools to install the parts. I wouldn’t have saved much money if I were to buy the tools and set up the cruise control system myself. Therefore, I decided to hire a mechanic for this job.
After talking to A LOT of companies, Roger gave me the best price compared to other competitors. Asides from the price, he provided outstanding service and thoroughly answered my questions. My steering wheel required a lot of human muscles to be taken apart. The work he performed was heavy duty and back breaking. He worked hard to install the cruise control the way I wanted.
Roger even updated other stuff — unrelated to the cruise control installment — in my car for FREE.

For how hyper-​critical I often am of user reviews, I feel like my soul has been damned to a frozen hell for actually writing a Unilocal review. And tagging 5 star at that (Always suspect. Always.) So here I sit, shivering on a lake of fire turned frozen ice telling you that I am f-​ing stoked about Roger and the Eastside Mobile guys.
They installed a system in the Portland Short Bus this morning and I could not be happier. The bus was already a bear to work with — the deck needed to be installed outside of the driver compartment where passengers could access it, speakers needed to be installed where sound could be maximized, and everything had to be sturdy enough and totally out of the way of the sometimes destructive forces of tipsy revelers.
Roger took the time to come by and look at the bus first, walked me through the ideal setup for our needs, procured the components, performed the installation, and did so within our budget. As fun as it would be to spend a ton of dough on assorted audio gadgetry, the loud rattles of the bus, the acoustics of the interior, and the din of conversation render hi-​fi components relatively pointless for us, so I’m also stoked that he didn’t try to sell me crap that I didn’t need.
I didn’t even have to leave the office — I’m straight up a sucker for mobile convenience. I’m too busy waste my time haggling with sales people, then taking the time to drive it to the install location, then spending idle time waiting for the install to be complete. Bah — screw that. Let’em come to me.

I had a great experience with Eastside Mobile Electronics. We recently bought a used minivan, and the one thing I was bummed about not having was an OEM-​installed backup camera system: we had seen the 2.4″ monitor in the Kia Sedona rearview mirrors and had been impressed. I did a lot of research into trying to get the same quality OEM mirror with a monitor installed: the auto-​dimming kind rather than the one that ends up being a darker mirror. I ran across Eastside Mobile Electronics, which offered the (now discontinued for 3^rd party sale) 2.4″ monitor … and the owner of EME, Roger, offered to sell and install the 3.5″ LCD monitor version for the exact same price. Now that it’s installed, I’m *much* happier we have the 3.5″ monitor (about the same size as an iPhone screen) than the 2.4″ monitor offered in the «power package» OEM from the Kia dealer on new cars.
Since EME is based out of Portland and I’m in Seattle, the installer Storm drove north and I drove south and the installation was done in a mall parking lot. Storm was right on time, courteous, explained exactly what he was doing and why, and finished within an hour. The install is clean, the wires routed internally behind the panels, and the camera is well-​placed.
I would highly recommend EME. They gave me a fantastic price for the Rostra 3.5″ backup system that, fully installed, was just a few dollars more than the cheapest price I could find for the parts alone online, meaning it was at least $ 100 less for installation than the cheapest quote on installation alone… and a full $ 350 less expensive than a price quote I received from a Seattle installer for sale and installation, and that would have been of the less-​desirable, non-​auto-​dimming Rostra package.
Given that we have super-​active toddlers, it was one less stress point to have a good and reliable backup system that doesn’t clutter the dash. (As I mentioned, it’s integrated into the rearview mirror: you see the monitor only when you put the car in reverse; otherwise, it’s just the regular mirror. There was a recent NPR feature on the actual mirror, which is manufactured by the Michigan company Gentex.) I appreciate that Roger actually steered me away from the non-​autodimming model based on the feedback he’d received from other customers (who complained about the mirror being too dark). And the installation went without a hitch. I was quite impressed. The Rostra setup has a 3 year warranty, but the EME *installation* carries a lifetime warranty.

My wife and I were turned onto Eastside Mobile Electronics by Courtesy Ford and could not be happier. The owner, Roger is friendly, knowledgeable, Fast, and installs quality equipment for an affordable price. Really People! Forget about car toys and the rest of the up-​selling rip off artists out there. We had a bluetooth system and new speakers installed in my wife’s car and liked his pricing, punctuality, (he comes to you) and ‘man of the people’ attitude so much we had him install a new stereo and speakers in our second vehicle the next day! Bottom line, Eastside Moblie Electronics will hook you up at a price you can afford with quality stuff!

I contacted Eastside in Aug. ’09 to install a backup camera in my 2006 Pleasure-​Way motorhome, which is built on a Ford Econoline van chassis. I saw the Eastside mobile unit in my sister’s neighborhood, then again this business name in the rolodex of the service rep at the Ford dealer when I was there for service. An omen.
Roger was great. I called him up, we talked about what I was looking for, he described the product that he sold, I did some web research into the unit, thought it met my needs and Roger ordered the unit and installed it the next day.
Roger brought his crew and equipment and did a great job for a fair price. The camera and display were both top notch, and cleanly installed. Having a clear view out the back is a huge help for me and even on the first trip out, I was able to back into a campsite at midnight and see everything — including the bugs flying in front of the camera!
