Very large area. No water, no place to sit, no doggy bags and no area for small dogs.

Nice park. Fenced in. Picnic table. Often people leave water dishes. And there seldom is a shortage of bags. But there is a small donation tube… So pay it forward! I love the enormity of this park too! Be mindful of the gates and nearby road. In the fall it gets very muddy. But most often nobody is there to bother you! We have once spotted a small coyote, so again, be mindful of your pet. This is still a dogpark and dogs should be monitored. :)

My dog loves this park! It’s super spacious and so there are lots of things for him to run around smell. I highly recommend it for a place to gradually start socializing your dog — mine is a rescue and tends to get way too excited if there are more than 8 dogs around. Do bring your own water and poop bags and do pick up after your dog as we humans enjoy the nice walk along the track but not when we step in dogdoo.

Trippy City of Portland dog park on the east side of Delta Park. I am going to call it a 3 because if this suits your needs? I can see how you might think this is really cool. With that said read the below for tips on who it does not work for. It is one big open field between two major roads with no amenities, single, spring loaded(thankfully) gates with no latches(someone did leave a bungee cord on 1 of the 3 gates). The fences are the 4 inch by 4 inch squares(not suitable for a small dog) and plenty of holes in the fences. No pickup bags, no water, but there are 1 or 2 trash cans. Parking is easy enough out front of the middle part and the end closest to I-5. There is a weird sign out front about NOT using a «beanshooter, slingshot, javelin, shotput discus, golf equipment or archery equipment» so I guess that was a problem. Not suitable for small dogs, or dogs that will not come back on command as if the dogs get out?(three gates means that much more to watch) There are major roads on either side(Hwy 99 above and Union right in front). If you have a big dog, if you can trust the big dog to not get out? By all means. Just watch out for whatever in the grass as it seems like an anything goes kinda place(trash the dogs might eat?). If you are playing at Delta Park and want a place to walk your dog? Okay, I guess. Anyway, I sure can’t use it… but, if you fall into the above category? You might love it for the sheer size of this place. One person was using it as we left… otherwise no one was there. I am uploading lots of photos.
