76 – Plaid Pantry

The kid they have pumping fuel doesn’t know what he’s doing and almost put that biodiesel blend in my truck.
He tried to tell me it was regular diesel even though the pump said biodiesel. All I need is a clogged injector. I’m sure the owner doesn’t need a $ 1,000 bill for a replacement injector because his weekend kid doesn’t know the difference between diesel and biodiesel.

Getting gas. So I always come to this 76 gas station to get gas before I head home and cross the bridge into Wa… it is off I-​5 they have the best gas Attendants always asking to was my windshield and the workers inside are always so friendly… did I mention that they usually have the cheapest gas prices than any other place in portland.

I love a great combo, anything that goes together and makes perfect sense gives me a big warm fuzzy. Corn on the Cob & Butter; Biscuits & Gravy; Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis; Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band… it’s all good. A practical match though is always a nice Win-​Win. Like putting together the single best convenience store with good quality and discount priced Union 76 Gasoline. Brilliant.
I am one of the unfortunate who commutes across the river to and from Portland from The Couve so anything that helps takes the edge off the trip is welcomed. Getting my liquid dinosaur and a nice frosty beverage and some jerky all in one stop just makes me smile.
The staff is always decent, you can’t really hold it against the poor guys and gals who have to come pump your gas for being a little off putting but the cashiers are always friendly.
It’s a fairly simple on and off of I-​5, if you’re opting to cut across from I-​5 to 205 via Marine Drive it’s a convenient stop as well. Who would have thought I’d get excited about a place like this, but here I am, Unilocalin’ about it. Sadder part is you’re actually still reading… :-)

Since I wrote my first review of this place:
–Gasoline is something like $.25 more per gallon, and
–Seems they’re always out of stock on the special edition Dale Jr. Tradin’ Paint flavor of AMP Energy drink.
This place has turned into a real come-​down as of late.
