I come here every time. I do the self service wash. Staff is very friendly. My dog loves taking bath.

Pet owners beware-​these groomers are inexperienced and inattentive. I picked up my dog to find out he had been taken to the vet because his ear had been caught in the «grommel”-what they use to grind down their nails. I wasn’t notified, and was horrified to find out the news and even more distraught when I went to the vet to discover his ear had been totally macerated. I have no idea how an injury like this could occur if someone was paying even minimal attention to what they were doing. I was also told it had just happened, and since it had been 3 hours since I dropped him off figured he at least would have his hair cut, but his fur hadn’t been touched. He is now in terrible pain with sutures and medication for two weeks. Although they did cover the veterinary bills, it is little consolation to the lack of care and little remorse expressed by the staff. Our other dog had gotten a cut near his eye in a previous visit which we chalked up to a mere accident, but after seeing this injury has us realizing it must not be a fluke. I am hoping our experience causes their staff to be more attentive and saves other dogs from having to go through what our little guy endured.

$ 2 Monday nail clipping 4pm… can’t go wrong with that, only by the time I got my pup home, bloody mess on the car seats. Cut waayyy too deep so that quick was dripping blood. So when I call do I get an apology? No. But I do ‘get put some baking soda on him or you can bring back and I put something on… but I close at 5′.
Lost this customer for life. Farewell.

Just received awesome service from Wendy! I had been taking my cat to another groomer who was fine but I couldn’t find anyone that would do cat grooming for less than $ 60 in this area. I was only charged $ 20 here and i love that they have you stay with your cat for less stress and then your cat doesn’t sit around for 3 hours. She is very attentive to lessening the stress on your cat. Great experience.

We have been using the self service booths for 10+ years. It is nice to walk my dog up a few steps into the tub. So much easier than bending over the bath tub, in the shower or out in the back yard. The water temp is pre-​set, never have to worry about freezing or burning my dogs skin.
The facility is clean. The staff is always trying (an impossible task!) to keep up with the fur that flies when blow drying begins.
I started going to DGC when we had one retriever. When she passed away we were adopted by two male retrievers! We use the large bath. They both fit just fine at 80 lbs each– with plenty of extra room. Our credits were carried over to the boys.
The retail shop is supplied with a selection of necessities that are really nice. Someone has really taken their time to be selective. No junk.
When we have asked for help with paws, the staff are willing and gentle. Sometimes our boys with draw back their feet in the middle of a clip. (I don’t know how anyone could prevent this.) Maybe three times in the 10 years we have gone we have a nick. The styptic substance is applied the area cleaned, happy dogs.
(I don’t know about the other post, when my dogs are at the grooming station they are tied on and are able to sit or lay. Other dogs that I have seen waiting are sitting or lying down.)

I had a hard time finding a good groomer in Portland and I left the Portland area not long after finding Dog Gone Clean. I highly recommend Reyes. He is considerate, attentive, talented, and good to the dogs.

I have been coming her for their self-​service dog wash since they facility first opened. I love the fact that I never have to bend over. They supply all kinds of shampoos for free. Hand held dryers, towels and brushes. Cheap nail trim, $ with a bath or $ 7 without. On Mondays a nail trim is free! They have dog supplies and food for sale. big parking lot.

Our Aussie arrived in a complete mess with knots and snarls and smellier than all get out and when we picked her up, she was ready for Westminster. Brynn is truly an animal whisperer when it comes to dirty dogs and we are only wondering why we didn’t discover her earlier! Thanks so much — we will be back sooner rather than later. Who knew a dog didn’t have to stink???
