Darling Press & Stationers is a family-​run, full-​service letterpress and design studio. Based in Portland, Oregon, we specialize in letterpress printing heirloom wedding invitations, custom business collateral, and stationery. Our other specialties include calligraphic services, signage and displays, custom stamps, and edge-​painting. We value quality craftsmanship and sustainable practices. Sign up for one of our letterpress workshops, stop in on Tuesday evenings for life drawing, or celebrate with our featured artists on the First Friday of every month!

History

Established in 2009.

Darling Press and Stationers began in the homestead studio of Alia and Jason Hoffman. In April of 2014, Darling Press moved into a studio/​storefront on Foster Road where they print custom letterpress, offer workshops, and provide a small retail space for locally-​made stationery and ephemera.

Meet the Manager

Manager

Hailing from the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, Jason is the brawn behind the operation. He plays the baritone ukulele, fathers two children, and draws really well. Jason’s really good at registering the colors, too.

Alia wears many outfits around the Darling Press homestead/​studio: mother of two, mixer of ink, printer, pen and ink drawer, gardener, and drinker of coffee. She can also start a mighty campfire.

Originally from Eagle River, Alaska, Robyn moved to the Northwest with a passion for environmental studies and growing food. She handles most of the correspondences between Darling Press and the world.
