D-Street Noshery is a solid place to get some food carts eat! Not only food but even a beer truck?! I am a happy camper! Not only food and beer but a place I can sit and relax? Covered? Semi-heated? That’s totally beat eating standing on the street right next to the garbage bins. Some carts are even open till 9 — 10 pm. I am definitely a fan!

This place is solid to fill up on munches. I enjoyed most every cart here. The only ones I don’t recommend are the Korean and beer trucks. I love the arepa(Venezuelan) and I love the Guam trucks. I would highly recommend this place. It is also next to pok pok, which is great for wings.

This cart pod has some nice choices for eats plus good beer in a covered patio. I pretty much always get something from Awesome Cone. Hand held goodness is hard to beat. My other choice is Oregon Ice Works. The philly inspired sandwiches are pretty fab.

Found D-Street while waiting for a table at Pok Pok, and we’ve been there a few times since. I love the fact that you can get so many different kinds of foods all in one place… not to mention the beer truck, covered picnic table area and small bands on weekend nights! Koi Fusion and Herb’s Mac-n-cheese are my hands-down favorites…

pie arepas beer and mac and cheese? how can that be wrong? it’s not. pie and beer is never wrong. that plus a cool SE non hipster vibe, mostly families kids dogs. plus a whacky vending machine that has sour sop and dragon fruit juice? awesome. ATM and a covered seating area make this a perfect spot to nosh and hang out. love it.

Did one of our first ‘tastings’ here at the D-Street Noshery. We did 4 carts and enjoyed each of them. A nice corral of good food carts and enough picnic bench style seating both covered and uncovered. One empty large stall for some entrepreneur to take advantage of. Some of of the benches were dirt and just needed to be wiped down. Music was good and fit the hipster and ‘It factor’ atmosphere of the area. It met my expectation for this little cuisine Mecca of food carts.

A Hipstermatic spot if I ever saw one. At one point I looked around and half expected to find that a sliver of the Oregon Country Fair had somehow made its way into SE Portland. For sure, the silver painted naked guy will eventually be manifesting. But it’s really all good. Nice vibe, good music, and really friendly vendors. Try the Slice Pizza and the Pie Hole while you gloat at the hungry people across the street waiting half their lives for a table at Pok Pok. If you’re the more adventurous palate, there’s a Brazilian and a Korean-fusion cart. BYO pint canning jar for a discount on brew.

There’s just nothing here that makes me drool. I will keep checking back because I know that things change! The least offensive things(to me) in this pod are: Mac & Cheese, Captured By Porches and The Pie Spot. Hopefully I’ll catch the flying fish truck on the weekend.

9 decently solid carts? Beer? A covered space to sit and eat? What more could you really want from a cart pod? Well, of course parking would be nice(Holla for Good Food Here!) but I know that’s only a reality in some places. And while this pod took parking away from an already congested area, I can’t fault. I will be interested to see how this plays out with the cat market over saturated as is, but this neighborhood-y location should support a robust dinner business. Looking forward to trying Awesome Cone, Fuego, and the other great carts here.

Just visited D-Street Noshery last weekend for our first time. We liked the vibe in this pod, and the space heaters in their tent are a real plus. Loved Herb’s Mac n’ Cheese cart – such a simple idea but comfort food at it’s best. The server was really friendly, too! Being a pizza aficionado, my hubby tried a slice at the Wood Fired pizza cart but was disappointed with the crust; much too soft and not that tasty. Also grabbed a dessert to go at The Pie Spot cart. I tried the apple crumb and it was good but I’ve had better pie from Trader Joe’s. Unlike Herb, the pie server was not that social but maybe that’s just her personality. I’d try another pie flavor next time we visit… since we’ll for sure return for more mac and cheese at Herb’s! As with all cart pods the parking is on the streets nearby but that’s not as tough on Division as, say, Hawthorne or Belmont. Plenty of traffic whizzing by so it’s somewhat noisy but not too bad. Not all vendors accept credit/debit cards but, as mentioned in another review, there’s an ATM on site.

Maybe I’m jumping the gun reviewing the D-Street Noshery because its grand opening isn’t until December 11th. But since most of the carts were open on this fine sunny December Friday, I thought it was OK to write about this new food pod. Located across the street from Pok Pok. I know they are still applying finishing touches to the pod, but they already have a huge tent with gas heaters and plenty of tables. There’s also an ATM machine. Great addition to the neighborhood!
