After completing a Bachelors Degree in Zoology from Colorado State University I dabbled in many different training styles. I discovered that using a positive reinforcement and management combination is the most effective methodology.

I began volunteering with other dog trainers and training groups. I attended many seminars throughout the east focusing on the newest and most proven methods of behavior modification and training. This is where my interest in working with aggression problems developed.

I then began an apprenticeship in Vermont, where I taught classes while studying management and training techniques with difficult and aggressive dogs.

In 2005 I opened Cooper’s Dog Training and Behavior Modification here in Portland, named after my loyal blue heeler, Cooper. Cooper’s Dog Training has continued to be a successful, full time private and group training business throughout the metro area and beyond. I look forward to developing a relationship with you and your dog
