These days it is so rare to hire someone who exceeds expectations, but Adam does. His approach to our trees was so respectful and professional. He gave us a very reasonable bid, did the work when promised, hauled
away all the limbs on his amazing bike trailer, followed up later to make sure we were satisfied. Our Japanese maples and pieris have never looked better. We referred Adam to a friend and they have raved about the quality of his work too. You will never regret having Adam work on your trees and shrubs. We live in Irvington in NE Portland; not sure how large his service area is since he arrives by bicycle!

Adam is very professional arborist and knows his trees! His prices are very reasonable. He is happy to give you an estimate before doing the work. He definitely has a commitment to environmental stewardship as he does everything by bike including hauling away the debris. We have used his services a few times now and are very satisfied. We will definitely be using his services in the future.

Adam showed up promptly for our first consultation. We walked around the yard and I explained to him what I wanted for the many trees in our yard. He quoted me a price per tree, which is great. He told me of the disease he found on a few of the trees. Our neighbour had a tree that had fallen on our house in the spring and Adam assessed the risk of the remaining trees of falling.
We opted to have all the specified trees trimmed as well as have him right up a report about the fallen/​falling trees that we could submit to the city or insurance company, need be.
He arrived on his bicycle with his long trailer and set to work on the day on the day on which we scheduled.
He spent a couple of hours pruning and then cleaned up all the debris and hauled it away.
I really like Adam. He was very professional and I appreciated his opinion on the tree’s pruning needs. With the broken down estimate we were able to choose if we wanted all the pruning done at once or if we wanted to pick and choose what he did.
He took much time to assess the falling tree situation and he provided us with an official report for our records. He even offered to file it with the city for us.
I had expected the apple trees to be pruned for height as well but he explained that it would be best done in the spring. So I guess we will have him come back then.

We had Adam prune an overgrown Japanese Maple tree in our backyard as well as a few shrubs. The maple looks extraordinary. We knew having it professionally pruned was a good idea, but we didn’t know how beautiful it could really look. We are very impressed with his work, knowledge, and willingness to explain things to you. Plus it’s cool that he comes and goes by bike! We’ll definitely use him again.

Adam from Co-​Creative Pruning has done work for us twice now, and we plan to engage him for all future maintenance and work. We purchased a home with a lot of older trees, and weren’t sure what to expect at our first appointment. Adam took his time observing what needed to be done and explaining it to us.
We have a curbside Hawthorne that was a total mess due to previous poor maintenance/​a previous owner hacking away at it. He took the time to see if the city would permit its removal, and when they said no he did a wonderful job cleaning it up. Our neighbors even commented on how much better it looks.
Our backyard has a line of old cedar trees that we were pretty sure would need to be trimmed, but Adam explained that they were self regulating and described what signs to look for if anything is wrong in the future. This made us confident that he’s only doing work that he deems necessary for the health of the tree. He showed my husband how to trim our Japanese maple and even took the time to advise us on the best varietal for a new planting.
Adam’s business is bike powered, which is rare and another plus to the wonderful services he provides. He takes his time, is delightful to talk to, and his pricing is more than fair and competitive. It was clear to us from the start that Adam is a business owner with integrity. Now I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with our trees!

I can’t thank Adam (owner) enough for saving our very old ornamental cherry tree and our pink dogwood as well. I was hesitant about using chemicals to tame the fungus (as one arborist suggested) eating them and he has been able to improve the health of the trees so that they can fight off the fungus themselves! No chemicals needed! He is very professional and courteous and does it all from a bike with a really long trailer! I can’t recommend him enough. He is a stand up guy with a talent and passion for trees.
