Kalindy is amazing! No pressure sales, and I love the booties I got. They are so comfortable and cute.

I am sick of being treated rudely at this place. Every question I ask about support and materials is mocked. MOCKED! Zero effort is made to help– I had to ask about their inventory, still the overwhelming vibe was «ugh a customer.» Will never return– except maybe to find the district manager and make a formal complaint.

Sam is the best! He was sooo patient with me as I tried on every pair of shoes in my size a dozen times each, walking around the store a few hundred times. Usually salespeople give up on me after I’m indecisive for 20 minutes, but I think I was in there for an hour and he stuck with me! He gave me advice on fit and size and whatnot, gave me a discount after the fact, and then when I wore my Danskos to work and discovered that one was super squeaky, he graciously took them right back. I’m sorry I couldn’t buy a new pair from him because they didn’t have another fun-​colored pair in my size :(I was so sad. But I’ll come back here and check out the selection in the future for sure! I recommended this store to all of my classmates and coworkers.

Friendly, no-​pressure service. Good selection. Found a great pair of Dansko Mary Janes. Parking is kind of a pain in the Pearl — but this is a great place to go and browse many of the better, foot-​friendly shoes. Recommend!

Horrid. A came in on ³⁄₂₆ with 15 minutes left before closing. My fiancé has wide feet and we were hoping to find a style that worked for her. There were 3 others in the store and the shop keeper was extremely rude. She said she had no business all day and then 3 customers all at once when she was trying to leave. She said we should have come earlier and literally escorted us out the door. I will never return.

I stopped in for sandals today and asked about Birkenstocks. The clerk told me that they don’t carry them and that she wasn’t sure if there was still a Birkenstock store in PDX. She then showed me some cheap cork-​bed shoes that are nothing like Birkenstocks, so I told her I would just pick them up at Nordstrom. She went into a tailspin at this statement and told me to «Stay out of Nordstrom.» When I asked her why, she said, «Because people only like them because they will take ANYTHING back. And they are bad because they run small shoe stores out of business.»
Hold me back… I love Nordstrom! When I reminded this officious clerk (who knows nothing about customer service) that Nordstrom started as a small shoe store, she turned and walked away. Yes folks, she waked away. I suggest you do the same. There are plenty of good shoe stores in PDX, including Nordstrom.

They do have a massive selection of shoes but it really didn’t seem like the staff could be bothered. I stood and waited for someone to acknowledge me for a good 5 minutes (they were both ‘busy,’ one staring at a computer screen and the other taking the longest I’ve ever seen to put away a shoe box.)
In the end they offered to order something I liked for me but I really didn’t want to deal with them again.
It was telling I was the only person in the store…
