Nikki has been doing my hair for the past 6 years and I get amazing compliments on my hair all the time! She’s always taken the time to make sure I’m happy with the color and the style of the cut– even if I have to take it home for a week and see how I feel about it– she’s really committed to her clients!

I was referred to Chachi’s by a friend. I couldn’t be happier with my results! Never in my life have I had a hair dresser who met all my needs and made me feel beautiful walking out the door. I believe her name was Allison. The other stylists played some good tunes and were very friendly. I’ve gotten a million compliments on my new cut. Going from mid back length to above shoulder was a huge transformation for me. It couldn’t have gone smoother! Thanks Chachi’s, I will be back.

Nikki was wonderful and squeezed me in for a great, classic blowout right before a big event! She focused on a true round brush and dryer approach rather than taking short cuts with hot styling tools or teasing to get volume. Much appreciated! I will definitely be back!

Can only say amazing things about this place and their service! I was referred to Jennifer by a friend and she was fantastic! I am picky about my hair and recently had it colored at a different salon. I wasn’t pleased with the results, so I decided to try Jennifer instead. Such great results! She completely understood what I wanted, made sure to explain what she was doing to my hair and then took the time to REALLY style it! Many salons I’ve gone to just barely blow dry all the way, but Jennifer worked hard to give me a fabulous blow out that received loads of compliments! Can’t wait to go back and I highly recommend her!

I’ve been going to Chachi for a while now (3 years maybe?) since I discovered his salon. I was referred by a friend when I was looking for a stylist who is good with color and cut. Chachi is really good with hair everything. He’s always so quick and confident and if you don’t know what to do he would do something that fits your personality, skin tone, and face shape. I love how he knows his products and color so well that he would just name the color codes to his assistant. He also gives one the best blow outs I’ve had in a long time. I’ve never regret paying for his service. Never been disappointed!

I’ve been getting my hair done by Daniel for a few years now and he’s wonderful. He’s always attentive and does a fantastic job on my hair. I’m the worst, because I always only show up with a vague idea, but he’s the best because he turns that into life in a way I couldn’t have pictured.
He recently did my wedding hair and it was beautiful. He’s also hilarious and a joy to be around, which is nice when you’re getting your hair done.

This place is truly awful. The people working here are bitter and project their insecurities about their age and status everywhere. They stole money from me by charging for services they did not provide me. They are petty and lowkey racist.
If you’re looking for a good high end hair salon in Portland I would go to Ginger salon, they are nice and patient and more talented in my opinion.

Jennifer Cahill is a force to be reckoned with — great energy and took the time to fix my hair that got butchered by another stylist in town. Super impressed with the energy she gave me, and will definitely be back. Beautiful color job and maintained my hair length while giving it some serious swagger. Thanks, Jennifer!

I have been seeing Chachi for 13 years. I have thin not great drab ugly hair basically. Chachi makes my hair beautiful. It’s amazing. He mixes the perfect colors to lift here and lift there, cuts it so it looks like I have a full head of hair. 10 years ago I started having Chachi put mini extensions in for volume. NO ONE KNOWS I HAVE THEM! Not even other stylists! It looks that natural and good! No one in Portland/​west coast is as good as Chachi. Hands down the BEST!

I was just recommending this place to a girlfriend and realized I haven’t wrote a Unilocal review! I love Nikki at Chachi, she is always so nice, never tries to sell you everything in the store, runs pretty much right on time and remembers you a year after you’ve been there last. I appreciate that you can easily book any appointment or service online, after normal business hours of over the weekend. I have long hair that I just let grow for 6 – 12 months in between appointments, so while my hairstyle is rather simple I have seen the girls who she has finished up with before my appointment and they all look great!

Much praise for Jennifer!!! She’s amazing. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and she delivered! Too bad I am from CA or this would be my go to spot.

I didn’t have the greatest color experience in the salon. However, when I communicated my disappointment to Chachi… he went beyond to make it right with me. So, I would chalk up my appt to maybe Chachi having a bad day. In the end, his professionalism came through. Thank you, Chachi

I am what serious, truly gifted hair dressers wake up in cold sweats screaming about in the middle of the night. I am the thorn in their side, the rock in their shoe, the bane of their existence — yes, I admit it — I am their worst bloody nightmare.
I’m the one who comes strolling in there, magazine in hand, with three strands of sorry ass, full-​Tard, ratchet-​lookin’ hair, asking to walk out looking like a runway model half my age.
Understandably, most stylists eventually do one of two things with a hell chore like me. They will either tell me to get bent or they are one of the rare kind of kick ass breed and somehow stick it out with me.
Chachi (of «Chachi for Hair») is one of those stylists who not only took pity on me but did his magic in record time. (And as we picky b*tches know more than anything, once we finally find that diamond in the rough stylist we can depend on — they are worth their weight in gold).
And Chachi is definitely that — and a bag of chips. He is great at what he does and FAST. And I wasn’t kidding when I said I had impossible hopes, standards and expectations for any of you out there who can relate…

For a high– end salon — Chachi’s prices are incredibly reasonable, too, I think. And for those interested in extensions, Chachi himself is one of the very few in the Portland area who is licensed and specializes in the Balmain extensions system, which I also highly recommend.
So, drop whatever you are doing and run, don’t walk, to Chachi’s For Hair. They have amazing hair products by Redken and many others and a sweet open air salon in PDX’s NW Alphabet distric

Had a haircut this week and it was really nice! One star off because no one offered me a drink and others were given several options, all of which sounded lovely, and it was a long walk there. My stylist didn’t seem especially interested in me or my cut, but the woman at the front desk gave great customer service.

I have lived in Portland three years now and one of the hardest things about relocating can be finding the right people to start new business/​client relationships with. I had my last hair stylist for over 10 years, and starting over in this town has not been easy. Until Chachi. He is the absolute best. I have thick long curly hair and have watched many a stylist try to blow it out, with the result being me running home to give it once over with my straightener, after paying upwards of 200 dollars with tip. Not with Chachi.
I finally struck good fortune when a former co-​worker referred me to him. I loved her hair cut and immediately asked her who was responsible for her long beautifully layered tresses.
I’ve been a few times now and I won’t go anywhere else. The second best part is that he’s quick! A cut and color usually would keep me 2.5 hours in the hair chair but Chachi has me in and out in just over an hour. Sleek, smooth, bouncy, sexy layers.
Thank goodness I found him before my wedding, or I don’t know what I would have done!

Chachi was the first person to cut my hair when it finally grew in after chemo. I had never had short hair before (let alone a pixie style cut). I’m not sure I would be as happy as I’ve been with short hair had I not found Chachi. My hair always looks trendy and stylish. He’s introduced myself to some great styles. The longer it gets the more fun it is to try new haircuts.
I have since brought my husband to Chachi’s. Daniel cuts his hair and he is absolutely wonderful as well. This place is overall fabulous!

I’ve been to Chachi 3 times and 2 of these visits were for big changes in my hairstyle. The first was for a cut/​conditioning treatment I bought on Groupon. Danielle (sadly no longer there) layered my hair beautifully! Before I kept my hair mainly to one length, but the layers she suggested made such a difference.
My most recent trip last weekend, I decided to give bangs a chance again… after a decade or two. I brought 3 or 4 photos with me on my phone. I scheduled an appointment with Jennifer Cahill after reading through comments and the stylist profiles. She did a wonderful job! I wanted kind of shaggy bangs with longer layers on the side. Plus I have quite a bit of hair so it can be difficult getting the cut I want. She gave me ideas on styling to get the specific look I wanted too. I’ve had several compliments since and wanted to make sure to leave a glowing review for her. My way of thinking is if you find someone who is good at what they do… make sure they get plenty of business! :)

I was on the hunt for someone who could actually cut my a-​line bob and stack it right in the back. Any girl with this cut and THICK hair knows my pain!
I was referred to Chachi after seeing a girl with my cut and asked her where she got it done and she said — CHACHI. So, I went online, found they had a great first timer special which is great for someone who notoriously spends VERY little on my hair. I always put my kiddo first. So, booked my appt with a «master stylist» and asked for Chachi himself.
I have NEVER had my hair cut so quick and so accurately! Instead of being scissor happy (you know them), he cut here and there and little here and there and before I knew it, I still had hair and it was effing perfect. I was truly in AWE. It was worth every penny and well worth going back. I’d rather pay a little more for a guarantee I will get exactly what I want — no crying, no fake smile, just happy.
And, chachi is so sweet and professional and a pro Redken artist, he truly is the best!
