I love this store!!! The prices are beyond fair and the selection is huge. You can find something for everyone here. Friendly employees and a warm atmosphere. A must shop stop!

This business has an extremely high turnover rate. I have had negative experiences with the person who I assume is the owner on several occasions. After coming in several times throughout the span of a year, I never saw any employee’s face twice. A lot of the jewelry carried here is not local (the Boma line, also sold at fuego, is made in China, as are a lot of the clothes) but is marked up. I don’t trust the business practices here.

Super cute jewelry shop with adorable pieces from local jewelers and artisans. I love how everything is displayed in a whimsical fashion. I’ve also had a recent obsession with delicate jewelry, and this store has plenty of it. A lot of pieces are one of a kind. But if you want to buy more than one of the same item, the girls who work there can provide you with the name of the jeweler or company. Many of these items can be found on Etsy as well. Best part is, the jewelry is very high quality — gold plated, sterling silver, etc. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Portland!

I wish that this store was in my hometown of Vancouver BC, but I’m glad that it’s not. Because I’d be broke.
It seemed like a lot of the jewellery was made by local designers, and they had a great selection that could appeal to all types of jewellery lovers. Dainty gold pieces, chunky silver pieces, a little bit of everything.
I settled on a very affordable bracelet and ring and the gals behind the counter told me all about the pieces and the designers as they rung me through.
Next time I’m in Portland, I’ll be back!

I was not particularly impressed by Cassidy Jewelry. Went in and found the majority of rings were sized 5 – 7. My friend and I are sizes 8 and 9 so what we were able to find that fit us was a tiny and overpriced collection of pieces we didn’t want. The set up is pretty spacious, but the lack of variety and high prices were off-​putting. The lady behind the counter was nice enough, though not very attentive.

There were lots of pretty earrings, and it was an earring shopping day. The earrings appear to be sort of artisanal, and you won’t really find anything fancy, per-​se. But we found a really cute pair for about $ 20, and she wore them to several occasions later that week. The woman at the register tells every customer where the jewelry being purchased was made, and what material it is. I was a little embarrassed being told that I was buying this beautiful woman aluminum earrings with 14 ct gold plating, but it subsided. Bonus stars for having a cute little dog running around at times, and for having some cool antique objects (phonograph, cash register). Super lovely interior designing. Not a huge fan of Hawthorne, but I’d come back here!

this is my favorite jewelry store of all time! They always have the best stuff for myself and for gifts! i stumbled across this place once and kept coming back. here on my favorite things about this place:
1. All the jewelry is from local jewelers… the store employees can tell you who!
2. The girls who work here are so knowledgeable, and they have every piece put into their computer system and can tell you what kind of stone/​gem/​metal it is and where it came from… that is if they dont already know it off the top of their heads!
3. Always friendly and don’t stalk you around the store

among the things i bought here were: a turquoise and sterling silver ring shaped like 3 leaves. beautiful, a purple turquoise and sterling silver ring — LOVE, a quartz and sterling silver ring, a sterling silver and fresh water pearl necklace, i bought a friend a very dainty sterling necklace that looked like a callow lily leaf with a small fresh water pearl inside and a couple beautiful necklaces for other friends. i highly recommend this place!

For anyone visiting Portland, Oregon, please take a stroll over to Cassidy Jewelry. They are a local jewelry shop I went to when I was visiting a friend out there. Whenever I travel I like to buy earrings as a memento of my trip. I bought two really nice pairs of earrings at Cassidy. Sadly, while wearing a pair out one night, I lost an earring. I was pretty torn up about it — clearly my trip to Portland was awesome.
It occurred to me that maybe I might be able to reach out to the shop and see if I could replace the lost earring, since they were locally owned. I reached out via Facebook and within a couple of days, Sarah from Cassidy answered my email and reached out to her vendor to get me a new pair. I paid for them over the phone and they were on their way over to me the very next day. I’ve received them and am super stoked!
This is customer service at it’s best. Sarah was amazingly friendly, quick and understanding. I always try and support local shops when I can. The service is always so neighborly and the products are fantastic. Thanks Cassidy for being so awesome.

Love, love, love this little shop!!! They have such a wide selection of styles (all with such reasonable prices I might add). Bracelets, earrings, necklaces, watches (they have those great wood ones!!), and rings galore!
I’ve been in several times and have always had such great service too. Many times when I go in there, the owner, Sarah, is there and always so willing to talk about he pieces she carries. Her staff, even the guy, is very knowledgeable and helpful! I was trying to find a pair of earrings to match some pieces I already owned, and he walked around the entire store helping me decide which ones to get for like an hour!!! Suffice to say I’ve been in many times, and never seem to leave empty handed!
Everyone always talks about shopping local and supporting local small businesses. Well it doesn’t get any more local than this, and with such great jewelry. Cassidy’s is a must!!!

Lots of necklaces on tables just laid out there for you to be able to pick up and examine. The display itself was nothing out of the ordinary. They also have other jewelry hanging on the walls. It’s in a decent location since it’s on Hawthorne but nothing popped for me so I headed back out on the street to find my shiny object.

Pretty nifty place. I like the design of the place, overall. Nice displays, open area, sales people aren’t too aggressive. Pretty good prices if the pieces hold up to the test of time.

Browsing on Hawthorne yesterday, I was lured in by the window display at Cassidy Jewelry. I was, in fact, in the market for a new pair of earrings to wear to a very special event coming up in September. I had an idea of what I wanted and had looked at various online favorites such as Barneys New York and Twist, but didn’t find the perfect pair. I found them here, and for much, much less ($ 24) than I would have paid at Barneys or Twist.
Some of the inventory on the tables at Cassidy is flashy junk – the kind of stuff you’d find at a swap meet – but it’s presented in a creative way, which drives up the price. Steer clear of it and check out the jewelry from local artisans that’s displayed on the walls along with other (mostly) unusual pieces.

This store has just about every style of jewelry you could want! The price range is exceptional too — a bit of everything really. I agree with other writers and the displays she uses are brilliant! It was a great way to see everything while walking through the store. I found the perfect pair of earrings and the owner even told me a lovely tale about the person who makes that series for them and how she used repurposed metals etc. I definitely plan to visit again for gifts!

Impressive designs, many at very affordable prices. The method in which proprietor chose to display the jewelry leaves one in a whimsical land, and it was pleasant strolling.
Her grey doggy added the perfect touch to the experience. Open and friendly – just the way I like it.

The (then) boyfriend and I walked in here while waiting for a seat next door. We were originally lured in because we saw a cute dog inside. We were greeted by (I am assuming) the owner who was friendly and helpful. I wanted to buy every single item in there and forgot about eating all together. Unfortunately I didn’t purchase anything, but I will be back to get a couple of items and look at the dog (it was shy and ran away.)

I wandered into Cassidy the other day with a friend visiting from out of town. It was totally an accident and neither of us planned on buying any jewelry that day. Of course, we both left with something.
The selection is really cool, full of unique pieces from independent artists around the country (and Canada, too, I think). Everything is pretty affordable and I’d recommend it for just about anyone’s taste.
The owner (I think) was really nice and told us about the pieces we bought.
Ever since I left the store (last Sunday) I’ve been thinking about a couple of pairs of earrings I saw there. I’m afraid I’ll be heading back to visit them soon.

Where do I even start with this place?! Cassidy Jewelry (aka heaven for my ears/​wrists/​fingers) is my one-​stop shop for when I’m feigning for some retail therapy. As much as I adore boutiques like Twist!, Cassidy offers affordable and unique statement pieces that don’t make my bank account weep. Plus, the owner is always so helpful when I come in and always has a story for each piece… her adorable dog even completes the happy atmosphere!
My only advice? Don’t even think you’ll be leaving there empty-​handed so be sure to bring some money!

This is a brilliant little jewelry boutique that hosts a fabulous selection of interesting jewelry. Whether buying for yourself, or looking for an unusual gift– Cassidy will have what you are looking for.
I was really impressed with the selection here. I bought a pair of beautiful, vintage looking earrings with ceylon blue cushion cut «gems» set in recycled metal, which I get compliments all the time.
I will definitely return to Cassidy to do a lot of holiday shopping. I don’t think I’ll find another place that offers so many beautiful jewelry pieces at great prices.

I wandered into Cassidy Jewelry last Monday after Lunch. This portion of Hawthorne Street has changed since I was here last year, as old stores have closed up, and new ones (including chains) have appeared in their place. The neighbourhood still has a nice close to Reed College vibe and its fun to wander around and consider the dining and shopping possibilities.
Cassidy sells unique and affordable Jewelry, that is attractively displayed and fun to touch. And consistent with the overall Portland vibe, there’s no pressure to buy, staff is layed back no-​pressure friendly, and there’s a sweet dog for the petting. I also enjoyed the antique furniture and wall hanging décor that framed this store’s often «vintage» wares quite well.
And as for what Gayle might like here? Ho Ho Ho!

I was walking by and a ring literally stopped me in my tracks. I bought a great gold wrapped turquoise ring (huge piece of turquoise!) for $ 30.
I went for the opening and discovered that most of the jewelry on display was from local designers.
The owner is also super nice and friendly to boot! Go in there and buy some cute jewelry!
