History

Established in 2008.

A dear friend of mine, who is also an officiant, encouraged me to start marrying couples. She thought it would be a wonderful fit for me. I began going with her to weddings, and after the first two, I decided that officiating was definitely a field that I wanted to get into. My friend acted as my mentor for a few months, and then I started my business, Carrie May Weddings.

I absolutely love what I do. I love helping couples create their ceremony. I love running rehearsals and meeting the families and friends. And best of all, I love standing at the «alter» and participating in a day that will be one of the most memorable in a couple’s life together.

I was one of those people who grew up knowing that what I wanted most of all was to get married and have children. When I was 19, I met my future husband. At the time we met our connection to one another was very strong. He pledged his love to me, and offered me the world.

Over the next few years we found ourselves running into one another in the oddest of places, and each time we both could feel that the strength of our connection to one another was still just as strong as the day we first met.

Skip ahead sixteen years and I have now been married for over twelve years. I am the proud mother of two amazing boys, and the wife of a man that I adore and who is my best friend.

I’d heard many tales of married folks becoming distanced over time, but I can tell you, from my experience, that my husband and I have only become closer. It may seem cliché, however, it is truly a blessing to be a witness to another person’s life in such an intimate way.
