CARQUEST Auto Parts

I deal with Travis and David almost every day… The guys are absolute rockstars. I am continually impressed by their ability to find the parts I need. I get the parts the same day almost every order. I recommend this store to all my customers.

Needed an Alternator for my car. Everyone in town said it takes two days for the part to come in. So I wait. Carquest said ‚” we have your part”. I go there only to find out they almost sold me the wrong part. Carquest said they could have the right part in the next day for twice the money or wait 4 more days. So I picked up my things. Said thank you and left. Thanks for wasting my time Carquest.

Really unbelievably awful.
Surly, unresponsive slow staff. The poor chaps look unutterably miserable doing whatever they’re doing.
I had a similar experience to the other guy who waited ten minutes in an empty store to pay for an item, one guy on the phone making a personal call, the other two absorbed in studiously avoiding letting me pay for the item I self selected. They didn’t have to do much and I didn’t even need him to stop chatting.
They did manage to overcharge me and then eventually gave me a refund — once I insisted that’s what they ought to do. They didn’t want to believe their own price tags on the shelf. Actual prices were higher than most places I’ve been to.
I too went back on a second occasion. Exactly the same thing.
I’d like to think it’s not me. All I did was wander up and try to pay. I don’t expect all that much from a retail parts store so it’s pretty difficult to unimpress me to this extent. Personally if I were any of these guys I’d be embarrassed to cash my paycheck.
Judging by Beth P’s review they may actually manage to rouse themselves for girls though so perhaps they do at least have some brain activity — somewhere. I wouldn’t bet that it’s between their ears though.
Shame. I have to say I’m actually shocked that they could manage to be this bad.

Not a bad parts store. Prices are ok. The guys I have dealt with have all been pretty good, not the typical «I know more than you» car guy crap. I have a regular old Ford pickup, so they always have what I need, I don’t know about more oddball type things. When I need things they are always my first stop around here, and I have no complaints.

I first went here to buy windshield wiper fluid. The store was completely empty and yet the transaction took ALMOST 10 MINUTES! Now 10 minutes might not sound like a lot, but given the circumstances, empty store, purchasing one item…10 minutes is a very… long…time.
So end of story right? Lesson learned. Shame on them for failing to properly transact business, I’m never coming back…
But like a moth to the flame, I find myself back in there not a month later to buy a new headlamp. Sure enough, I receive the same treatment (one employee was on a personal phone call while the other two were deep in conversation, store was empty, transaction took forever, etc.). In good faith, I can’t give them 1 star as it was my own stupid fault for coming back, hence the 2 star rating.
There is an O’Reily auto parts just down the street, so if you really need to go to an auto parts shop nearby, I recommend you go there.

WTF. Guys are nice, prices are a rip off.

I never feel like a nerdy girl when I walk into Car Quest. Instead I feel like a damsel in distress with 3 or 4 valiant and shining knights fighting over each other to help me. Business at 9 am * my usual shopping time* is slow and there are plenty of helpful dudes here ready to assist. I can say from personal experience that other local parts shops just aren’t as kind, nor are they as willing to help a cheap ass like myself find a less expensive solution to problems such as a rear-​view mirror that keeps falling off, or a missing gas cap. Today when I was in, after I made my purchase another helper man stopped me and gave me a few more tips about how to solve my particular issue. I wont stray from the quest again, and the fact that I can walk down to see them is a bonus since I am a cheap ass who doesn’t take very good care of my pimp 04 malibu.

Not the flashiest store. It kind of felt like the shelves were empty and I was walking into some small-​town auto parts store. But the people at the counter were super helpful and seemed very detail-​oriented (judging from their interactions and I phone call I eavesdropped on). They were also knowledgeable about the parts and answered all the questions I had. Granted, I was only in there to buy oil and an oil filter, but they made an impression. I’ve been working on cars since I was 12. I’ve had to visit many an auto parts store and I have to say, this is a store I’ll go back to, even if it’s a little further away from my house than the other stores. A few negatives: they don’t rent code scanners, though they do offer to read your car’s codes for you. Also, it’s not a store you could get a lot of accessories in. The wide variety of useless (but oh so tempting!) steering wheel covers and faux spinner hubcaps won’t be found here. Just your basic replacement parts with a few air fresheners and chevy-​shaped exhaust tips laying around. It’s just a no-​frills auto parts store with helpful, knowledgeable folks behind the counter.
