Our company specializes in providing Structural Steel Material and Decorative Items to the wholesale and retail market. We are able to supply the material that is needed in Mild Steel, A-​36, A572/​Gr50, AR/​T-​1, Alloy, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Bronze. The items available, but not limited to, are Angles, Channel, Square-​Round-​Rectangle Tube, Beams, Solid Round & Square, Cold Finish Hexagons, Flat Bar, Strips, Pipe, Grating, Grip Strut, Expanded Metal, and Plate/​Sheets. We stock plate, and sheet material in T-​1, AR, Galvanized, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and A-​36.

We also cater to the private sector, with being able to provide the time and care it takes to fully satisfy each customers request. We are able to provide delivery service to either the place of origin or to the work site within a timely fashion.

History

Established in 2001.

This business was formed on October 1^st, 2001, with only $ 100 and 1986 Ford Ranger. Cindy was employed as a sales person for Evergreen Steel which closed after the ⁹⁄₁₁ tragedy. She had just returned for the Oregon State Employment Department, feeling depressed about not being able to find any job openings, knowing she had to provide for her children. There were 3 messages on her answering machine: The first one was from a customer who had tracked her using the local telephone book to inform her he wanted to still deal with her. The second one was from another customer from a previous employment stating the same. The third was from a new customer telling Cindy to quit feeling sorry for herself and get the material needed within 2 hours. With a quick call she was able to locate the material and personally get it delivered on her truck within 1.5 hours. Business Owner

Cindy is the owner of C & L Metal Sales. She graduated for John Adams High School. She owned her own day care from 1987 to 1996. But after the long term marriage ended. She had to give up this business and take a job with would provide the medical benefits needed for raising the 2 children they had. She found her way into the steel industry as an office employee. After a few years the company realized that it would benefit them to move her into the inside sales department. After many years with that company she was let go and had to find employment elsewhere. After getting a dream position with another steel company. Offered a position to do what needed to be done to get the company to grow. The company had to close their doors because of the Sept 11 tragedy. After this insident Cindy started up C & L Metal Sales and have been able to keep it open.
