I was so happy to find this guy. Had him replace batteries in several watches and replace some of the jewels. Was VERY affordable. A jeweler in the mall told me they couldn’t replace the jewels and that it would be cheaper to buy a new watch. Not so. Here I was able to walk out the door after about 10 minutes with two watches, but had to leave one so that he could hunt down a jewel for it.
I highly recommend him! Not only does he fix what other’s turned down, but he’s FAST AND AFFORDABLE. Even Fred Myers was 4 – 5 times as much just to change the batteries!

Everything everyone says is true. Awesome guy, really good at what he does. You might want to call ahead to make sure he’s open and can fit you in. I randomly swung by and he was kind enough to fit in my old Casio battery replacement (he even took the time to set the time and date without being asked, which wasn’t as easy as you’d think) but I would call first next time.

He really knows what he is doing. I brought him 3 watches that needed batteries, one that needed more than batters but I wasn’t sure what. It took a total of about 10 min. and all 3 watches were working. AND he doesn’t charge a lot. AND he is in N. Portland about a mile from my house. This was a terrific find. I hope he doesn’t retire any time soon!

A watch repairer at a NE PDX Big Box store gave up on repairing my watchband after 20 – 30 minutes, telling me to send it back to the Suunto, the manufacturer. Not thrilled with that idea, I decided to try Mr. Bucholtz, He fixed it in 5 – 10 minutes at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him for his skill, value, and cheerful demeanor. Know that his shop is in a residential neighborhood, but the listed address is correct. I’m really happy I found him!

Robert cleaned my wall clock and it went from not work at all to keeping great time. I was really pleased with his work and the price came in lower than the estimate. I’ll go back to him for all my clock repair needs!

I have been searching for several years to find someone to repair my Seth Thomas mantle clock at a price can afford. I was repeatedly quoted in excess of $ 200 to fix a clock with no visible problem other than it kept time erratically. I took my clock to Mr. Becholtz and he fixed it in under 2 weeks at a price far, far below what I had been quoted by others. He is a little off the beaten path, tucked away in a corner of North Porltand but I am so glad I did
