I am a Clinical Psychologist who maintains a private practice in addition to operating a non-profit clinic. My approach is based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance-based therapies. CBT examines the relationship between our thoughts (i.e., the way we think about ourselves and the world around us), our behaviors (i.e., our way of acting in the world and responding to situations) and our emotions. Acceptance-based therapies (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) are grounded in the principle of nonjudgmental acceptance of ourselves and others, and that living in an accepting and open way brings about greater fulfillment, satisfaction and vitality in life.
Over the course of my career, I have utilized evidence-based therapies in the treatment of a broad range of mental health issues. While a generalist, my areas of focus include mood and anxiety disorders, treatment of emotional and behavioral dysregulation, and applied mindfulness. I work primarily with adults.
