This place is super fun! They have inexpensive drinks, so it’s great for a couple quick ones before hitting the clubs… which are conveniently right around it. Also, the staff is friendly(and pretty cute) and it has that semi-Chinese feel without being pretentious. If you want good drinks and good company without any fuss, this is your place. Also, has pretty awesome music. Came in on Halloween and this place was packed and playing some killer tunes! Also, they have a live DJ and encourage dancing if you feel so inclined!

There’s potential here. But at this point, it’s just that. They’ve only recently opened, so take this with a grain of salt. The ambience is faux-Chinese-bar-lounge. In theory, and somewhat in feel, it works. But something’s missing. First, it’s missing the authenticity of the vibe it’s going for(see Ming Lounge). Secondly, the space is half empty, as the entrance opens up to a bland open-seating area /walkway to the bar. And while the bar area captures a certain vibe and is nice in its own right, the lead-in sorta emits a dead/vacant energy. The Teriyaki Burger was pretty good, and it looks like there are other decent and cheap food options. Cocktail list looks ok, too. So in general, the food/drink options work. Overall, though, it almost felt ironic to be in a fancy and new version of what’s become a relic scene in Chinatown. Perhaps it’s best for those who wouldn’t feel comfortable at a place like the Ming Lounge, but want a clean and safer version of it. And in that capacity, they do alright.
