Barnes dental was established on December 14th 2000, Dr. azbari has practiced dentistry in Oregon since 1998, nearly 15 years, our business model is to treat every one the way we like ourself to be treated with respect and dignity and always do our very best for every patient, we estsblished a beautiful and state of art dnetal practice with the most advanced dental equipment and techniques, we keep up with ongoing changes in the dental field by attending regular dental continued education courses and always seek to improve our skills and services. Dr. Abari is an active member of Seattle study club and we are blessed with the most wounderfull patients that any dental office could wish for and continue to grow.

Azbari graduated from university of missouri Kansas city in 1997 where he attended a one year residency in advanced education in general dnetistry, he moved to porland in 1998 where he has lived with his wife and two childeren, he strive to improve his skills every day and keep up with advancements in the dental field by attending regular continued education courcess and stay as an active member of Seattle study club. he has been in private practice since December of 2000 and in his spare time he enjoy fishing, hiking, water sports, reading and cooking.

I have been going to Barnes Dental dental since moving to Portland in 2012. I used to live in the West Hills but have moved across town. I know I have lots of other choices but I really like the care I have received here, so I continue to come make the «trek» up the hill.
Amy does a fabulous job on my cleanings, I go regularly every 6 months. I have also had 2 cavities fillings «redone» by Dr. Azbari and the experience was a pleasant as it possibly can be. He is always very thorough in explaining my care.
If you are looking for a dentist I would highly recommend Barnes Dental!

I went to Barnes Dental yesterday and had a great experience as has always been the case. When I started going to Barnes Dental I had not been to a dentist in several years due to some bad experiences. That all changed when I went to Barnes Dental. I have always had great experiences even when having a cavity filled.
For years I had wisdom teeth that needed to be removed, but I never felt pressure to have it done. Dr Azbari was more concerned about long term issues which he laid out for me and let me make my own informed decision. Rather than do the work in house (which I am sure would have been more profitable) he referred me to someone who specializes in the extraction of wisdom teeth and it could not have gone better. I have always felt I have received great honest care from Dr. Azbari and would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I just can’t say enough about the quality of care I’ve received here for 13 years. I recently had some tough postpartum tooth issues. Dr Azbari and his staff went above and beyond to save the tooth. He is a man of his word who takes the extra time to make sure everything is just right. Angie and Megan are wonderful to work with as well. I highly recommend going here and excited to have my infant become his new patient.

I’ve been going here for a bit over a year and I’ve had nothing but good experiences. Everyone is really courteous and professional, and Dr. Azbari and the staff do a great job of not stressing me out (I’m have a little dentist anxiety).
Before I moved back to Portland I was told I needed a Root Canal and was really worrying about the cost of that procedure (I had needed to wait a couple months until I had insurance before I could even think about it). Turned out when I had walked in expecting to get a cleaning and set up the Root Canal appointment Dr. Azbari felt confident he could take care of it with a filling. It has been fine ever since and saved me a bunch of money I didn’t have at the time, so I was really glad he didn’t just push the more expensive option.
Nothing but good experiences and fair treatment so far.

I also was told I had cavities, which after a second opinion were nonexistent. I was also told I had had 4 teeth pulled in my past. I have never had an extraction, not even wisdom teeth. I found my visit with Dr. Azbari to be strange and unprofessional.

I wasn’t going to write up a review on my recent visit to Dr. Azbari, but after seeing the reviews posted by other visitors I feel inclined to share my exact same experience as others who have visited Barnes Dental.
I recently moved to Portland and was shopping around for a dentist in the area, I had received a mailer about a new patient special at Barnes Dental and decided to try them out in May 2012. I attended my scheduled appointment, had x-ray’s and a cleaning which went great — I can’t remember the name of the girl who did my cleaning, but she was professional and courteous.
Once the dental exam was conducted by Dr. Azbari, I felt that my teeth had been abnormally poked and prodded aggressively and like the other posts I was told that I needed 4 fillings for cavities in my rear molars. I found this ALARMING considering that I have never had a cavity in the past 37 years and have had perfect dental hygiene…
I have not sought out a second opinion, and based on the other reviews I don’t think this will be necessary as it would appear that there is a common thread of incorrect diagnosis here — I can only speculate as to the reason, but I will save my comments for my own opinion.
I WOULD NOT recommend a visit to Dr. Azbari…

been going there 1 – 2 years. last visit, i suddenly needed «3 fillings» @ $ 600. i had a weird feeling — so i got a 2nd opinion and, low and behold — need NO WORK DONE. complete rip-​off. prices are higher than other portland offices near-​by. also, 48hr window for «cancellations» or else you are charged a fee. the office staff is polite and competent. i would not go back, as i almost wasted $ 600 on «fillings» that didn’t need to be «filled!»
