Its quality food and cooked well, its not the best of the best I have ever had, but for its price its amazing. Hell 4.50 for a sweet and sour chicken lunch combo. The size of the chicken serving is pretty healthy and a butt load of rice! Its easy to get to from the surrounding buildings, I went and ordered pickup and was ready in under 10 min. The 23rd location I have ate at as well and is just as good.

Oh my god. I hope I don’t get sick! Chicken has a questionable texture and there is so much over-salted sauce, I think it might be covering up meat that may be wayyyy past its sell-by date. Fried rice is terrible how can you screw THAT up?! Only good thing is the tea.

I’m going with the other reviewers on this one. Ordered from grubhub the other day. 2 orders of egg rolls & veggie fried rice. They sent me 1 order of egg rolls and chicken fried rice. When I called them to ask about it they denied any wrongdoing and didn’t offer to refund or make the order right. Thankfully grubhub did and refunded my money but that’s the last time I order from them.

I love this place when they are ‘on’. Sweet and sour pork is usually yummy. Chow mein is good too.

I ordered from August Moon last night and was extremely disappointed! I chose this place because they were the only restaurant on Grub Hub that did not charge a delivery fee. Now I understand why. My food was over 1.5 hours late — making my total wait time over 2.5 hours! I called the restaurant multiple times to ask where my food was and they kept telling me my driver was«only one away» or «outside my house.»(He wasn’t.) Food was edible, but certainly not good. General Tsao’s chicken was spongey and slimey. The wonton soup tasted like it was made with soy sauce instead of chicken stock, but at least the wontons were good. The crab wontons tasted great but were cold — which is funny because the rest of the food was lukewarm. The best thing we ordered were the noodles, which were only good because they are supposed to be a little greasy. I will certainly not be ordering from them again.

2 hour wait for delivery. Let me repeat that. TWOHOURS. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars, is the food wasn’t terrible. It’s pretty typical. Nothing special, but what do you expect. But two hours is way too long and they didn’t bother to tell me they were busy and it would be a wait. I called at 1.5 hours, and they said the driver would be here any minute. Waited another half hour and called again and he showed up about 10 minutes later. The food wasn’t cold, so that’s good I guess. But nothing like eating a bunch of food right before bed time… Ugh. Oh, and this is the second time this happened. The first time, I chalked it up to them having a bad night. Fool me twice.

Geez, people are really hating on this place. It’s really not bad. The prices are reasonable and the orange chicken is good. We ordered through grubhub and they were on time. Easy peasy. If you’re looking for cheap easy Chinese food, this is a good spot.

Wow, I don’t usually get shocked at how bad food can be in a restaurant but these guys shocked me! The only word I can use is terrible. Really terrible. Our lunch, which was supposed to be COOKED came out before we even settled down and take a sip of the lukewarm tea. It wasn’t even cooked through. The mushrooms were crunchy, the chicken tastes like uncooked slimy gooey strips. The whole dish barely saw the stovetop for more than two minutes. Even the fried rice was bad… I know, hard to believe that someone can fuck up fried rice to the point where it tastes bad and funky. Like I said, if you are Portlander and expect something decent in downtown restaurant, you will be shocked. Don’t say you weren’t warned. :-)

By far one of the worst Chinese Restaurants ever Had the«Peking Duck» No scallions, crepes too much flower and stale(broke apart), sauce bad, duck with no flavor

This might be the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I actually spit the meat from one dish out. The other edible dish was far below average — not to mention the delivery took 2.5 hours

Nice place for a quick lunch. Good food, good service, good prices. My dish was served hot and had just the right amount of spice.

Ordered from August Moon for the first time and it is just about the best Chinese food I have ever had.(And I lived in China!) I highly recommend their seafood, potstickers and salad rolls! This will be my go-to Chinese restaurant from now on!

My boyfriend and I always eat here and have never had any issues with the quality of their food. In recent ordering online however, the last 3 times all the containers were leaking horribly and dripping on the outside of the bag when delivered. Very unhappy customers here. Like I said there food is wonderful, their to-go containers are not so wonderful. Please see attached photos:

Ordered from here for the last 15 years. Said no green pepper. Allergic. Green pepper in the dish. Dumped it. Delivery? Bring it to the apartment door. Everyone try Ling Garden. Been swapping back and forth. Much better at LG.

My friend and I ordered dinner tonite. My friends meal was cooked perfect and was correct. I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli. What delivered to me was Chicken Noodle Soup with a tiny box of rice. And there was no flavor at all.

SOSALTY! Potstickers were average, moo shu pork and Happy Family were so salty we could barely eat them. Overpriced dinner for what it was, should’ve gone to Mandarin Cove.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch yesterday. As soon as we sat at the table, I reached for the tea cup to turn it over as I wanted some hot tea. Both cups were sitting directly in the tabletop, without a saucer — and they were both stuck to the table. The server brought new cups and we had our tea while perusing the menu. Unfortunately the tea was only warm, not hot even as it came directly out of the spout. Strike one. We looked over the lunch menu and it had the standard fare, so I went with the Curry Chicken while my husband had the Mandarin Shrimp. I also ordered a cup of egg drop soup, which was pretty good. Then the food came to the table. The shrimp still had its tails on– I’ve never understood why restaurants don’t remove tails from dishes that are covered in sauce! y chicken dish was marked on the menu as spicy and it did have a slight heat to it, but I have No idea where they put the curry, because it wasn’t on the dish. Also, the«chicken» had the oddest texture I’ve ever seen. Strike two. The lunch menu mentioned that the meals would come with rice, egg roll, wonton, and fortune cookie. We got the rice and cookie, but the egg roll and wonton were probably hanging out with the curry… somewhere. Strike three. We won’t be visiting the August Moon again – three strikes and you’re out! Pros: the egg drop soup was decent Cons: everything else

Made an online order at 8:30pm, an hour later it had yet to arrive. We called just before 10pm, unfortunately that was closing time. They said sorry we’re closed maybe you ordered from a different August Moon. Well, I’ve never had the food and sadly I probably never will.
