I went there today an got my new key fob programmed in literally 2 minutes for half the price then the dealership. I highly recommend to everyone.

Great service and good pricing. Had to get a key cut for a car I just bought as well as coded, was all done on the spot. In and out fairly quickly, would highly recommend.

If you like to wait on hold and have your time wasted — Call them! I contacted them through my roadside auto assistance company as they are a preferred vendor. The guy answering the phone who’s name starts with a «J» instantly put me on hold because there was a baby locked in a car — I was ok with that that’s a legitimate need to put someone on hold. About 30 seconds, no big deal again I fully understand that.
Once he came back he heard my request to have a key cut for my VW. without saying anything he put me on hold and called the dealer. When he returned 2 minutes later, I told him I already had the blank and I only needed it cut. I wanted to set up a time for me to stop by for the service. He put me on hold again, and came back to say they only did mobile service… Okay I’m ok with that, I asked when? He put me on hold again. He then said I’d have to tow the vehicle in… I informed him I had a key, I just wanted a spare and the vehicle was mobile and I’d just drive it in whenever they were available.
Basically «J» was figuring out he couldn’t make any mark up on parts, towing and just wanted what should have been a simple key cut. Although it is one of those fancy laser cut keys and would still be a $ 100 sale he basically told me it wasn’t worth their time.

I inadvertently left my car key inside the car this morning and without a backup or replacement, I was just about «freaking out.» Several years back, I was in a similar situation down in Santa Rosa, California, and I was lucky that someone close to me had a backup key and was able to drive to me after we discovered that local locksmiths could not get into the car via their airbag method. Calling a local here in Portland, we learned that they’d use the same method. We just kept out fingers crossed. We were told it would be $ 100 prior to 7 AM and a bit less than that if we waiting until after that time. Well, when we considered that we could use our AAA benefits to have AA Express come out, we opted for that and kept those fingers crossed…
I biked to my locked car, which was about a mile away. Arriving there, the AA Express van was already waiting and the individual helping us out seemed happy to meet with me, confident and prepared. After quickly confirming some details with him, he took out his supplies and got to work on the passenger side. I can’t say enough about this guy, who seemed courteous and self-​assured. After a good ten or so minutes, I look over and the passenger door seems to just pop open! The alarm sounded and I rushed into the cabin to grab the key and de-​activate said alarm by turning the ignition a three-​quarter turn. He did it!
At 7 in the morning in beautiful Southeast Portland… AA Express came out and they were a lifesaver…

AA Express came out for a AAA call recently to help me with my ignition lock, the tech worked super quick at my residence to get my car to turn on. And then they opened up their shop early to get the lock switched out so I could get on my way to work. They sent a copy of my key digitally and I was literally in and out in 10 minutes. Would recommend them to everyone.

The key to my Toyota Corolla became de-​threaded and wouldn’t allow me to start my engine. I called AAA and AA Express Locksmith were at my house within less than 20 minutes. The technician made me copy of my key and explained WHY it had happened and that Toyota Corolla keys are notorious for becoming de-​threaded so he suggested I replace it every several months or so. I really appreciated him explaining it to me so I would know in the future what to look for. Super speedy and excellent service!

I recently did an online purchase for a replacement remote key less FOB for my ’99 Pontiac Grand AM. Turns out, my make and model required a professional re-​pro from a locksmith or dealer.
I did some research and found this place clear across town from where I live. When I got there, these guys are straight-​up legit and they know their stuff. At first, the rep thought the FOB was only a shell case but after opening it up found that it was a possible bad battery inside… and it was.
I don’t think I was there for more than 20 mins by the time all said and done. I spent $ 45 for the re-​pro and $ 4 for the new battery and worth every penny of it, not to mention, the customer service is unmatched!
I can’t speak on anything else other than this current dealing but I can say this… anyone else I would have dealt with in town, I would have spent nothing less than $ 85 and (can’t honestly say) have the same customer service.

These guys are awesome! My 17-​year-​old son was in Portland and his car key broke off in the ignition. My son was freaking out and called me. We live in Astoria and didn’t know who to call. These guys really know their stuff. Courteous, excellent work, fast, reasonable (cheap) prices. They miraculously copied a car key that was so worn down it didn’t open the car any more (were recommended by the Nissan dealer). Later they re-​keyed some locks for me.

Honest folks. I lost the last key to my 2007 outback, which was in the PDX long term garage. They quoted me $ 190 ot come out, cut a new key and code the transponder. When they got there, I had an old key that no longer worked. He said he could reprogram it, and dropped the cost to $ 100. They had me with no options, and did the right thing. I never would have known. Got my future business for sure. Also courteous and quick.

My car was broken down due to a problem with my ignition and key. I got it towed to this place the next day. They fixed it within a few hours and called me with updates. Abe even threw in an extra ignition key and made it so my key opens my trunk (did not before). They even helped me figure out a way to pile my bike in my trunk (gave me some cords, etc.). These guys are really nice, professional, and quick. I would definitely go back to them.

I needed a replacement key. VW doesn’t make my quest an easy one. I purchased a shell, that would be filled up with the innards of my old, worn out one. These folks were recommended to me, so I went there. I was very glad I did! They got right on it, tested it, and I now have a working switchblade key!

These guys are pros– reliable for all things lock and key. I read the reviews on Unilocal about them and decided to take a trip down there and get my key reprogrammed for my car. They are most pleasant and relaxed people — and very smart. I got a reprogrammed key fob for half the price I was quoted by other auto shops around town. I was also shown tips and tricks, advice on DIY, and so on. They like to help the customer and it shows. They’ll also cut literally any key you request… never seen such an extensive tool arsenal and will to stop at nothing until there’s a solution. Lastly you’re looking for Car Remotes — DON’T MESS AROUND ONLINE… AA Express Locksmith has higher quality, less expensive, 100% OEM remotes, multiple diagnostic systems; stay local with this one!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST: When you walk into their office — stop and look above the technicians area. There are so many certifications and awards that you will instantly know AA Locksmith is no joke.

These guys were great! I was getting ready to leave on vacation when my key wouldn’t work in my ignition. I had a spare but wanted to make sure I replaced the one that wasn’t working. The dealership was going to charge me a lot to reprogram the key and told me it would take hours. The dealership also told me they were the only ones who could reprogram my key.
I called AA instead as they are close to my house. After receiving great customer service on the phone, I went to see them and in about 15 minutes and $ 35 they had a new key made and programmed, They were professional, helpful and knowlegable. I will definately use them again for all of my locksmith needs.

When the magic key fob for my car died, I had a couple of spare blanks I had bought from Amazon but I had no idea what to do to make them functional. I called a nearby locksmith and when he found out my car was a 2000 Passat he told me to call Express Locksmith instead.
I called them up, asked a few questions (including price), and headed over to see them. Within 45 minutes they had not only programmed my new fobs and cut the proper keys for me, they had also reprogrammed my old fob, which is now working perfectly again. Their charges were extremely reasonable and they were knowledgeable and pleasant, easy to do business with. They even gave me a discount when I showed my AAA card!
