Nancy took a 30 year old frumpy suede coat and turned it into a beautiful jacket. Perfect.
Today I brought my daughter there with a pretty involved dress (beaded/​pearled bodice) and I am totally confident that she’ll make it work.

There are not a lot of tailoring shops like Nancy’s. It is, by far, one of the most perfect places to take your children — she makes both my daughters feel extremely comfortable and able to say what it is that they want. Sometimes children explain things in a very vague way, yet Nancy always gets it right. Besides being able to address my daughters’ needs, Nancy is also able to get me in and out for my stuff. I appreciate that I don’t have to spend a ton of time waiting around. Another reason why I rely on Nancy is that she is an active part of the community — she is always very involved and generous when it comes to Port Washington events. All in all, every experience with Nancy has been overwhelmingly positive and I highly recommend using her.

All I have to say is $ 34 for a 1 ½ rip in my jeans. Don’t even think I spent that much on the jeans. And there excuse «heavy labor». Never again!
Oh and by the way I’m an elevator mechanic. Heavy labor! Ha!

Nancy Sinoway is simply the best. The work is impeccable and she works with you until every detail is perfect. She makes every client feel comfortable and cared for. A visit to her artsy and eclectic studio is like a pleasant little adventure. I like to make my appointments for my lunch hour so that I can linger and chat with Nancy and her husband Smitty. You can’t say that about the local dry cleaner! Highly recommend.

Nancy Sinoway is my «go to» clothing alteration artist! Both my adult daughter and I take virtually all our new purchases to her. She has the perfect eye to custom fit dresses, coats, skirts, etc. As they say, the key to a great look is having your clothing FIT properly. Even more important than her talent and keen eye, is her attention to making sure you look and feel your best in your clothing. Nancy is a great resource and a kind and attentive professional. Highly recommend for all your fitting needs!

Nancy Sinoway took my wedding dress and made me love it even more. She paid attention to every little detail and it just turned out beautifully.-even the ribbon used for my bustle is lovely! I had to go back several times for fittings and I looked forward to seeing Nancy, Smitty and the rest of the caring seamstresses. Who would have thought that this would have been such a fun process? Bottom line is: excellent work done by even better people. I cannot recommend her services enough.

I came here because someone recommended this place to me, but I will not be returning.
The clothing did not have the professional finish I expected considering the price I paid. She charges $ 40 per hour of work and $ 26 for a hemline. I could have gotten better work done at my local dry cleaner. I had two dressed hemmed and a pair of pants taken in. The hem line was uneven and pieces of loose thread were left behind.
