Poor customer service relations with Flip. My friend and I took Chevrolet truck to service department for warranty work. Took 2 weeks to get a back ordered part, DEF exhaust fluid heater. Guess another GMC great idea where truck will not go over a certain speed once it goes out. Anyway had vehicle fixed, finally!
After we picked up the truck excited for fishing next day, when we backed truck up to the boat, the receiver towing ball system had been taken; called grey Chevrolet, they said oh yeah we had a break in and someone stole some stuff but that’s your problem turn it in to your insurance company!
Flip said his last name is Grey, hmm, guess even the big boys have lousy customer service, as he said, nope not our problem! Yes thieves were caught on camera, yet they still did nothing to make things right for customers

Talked with Paul at great length regarding an 08 Chevy dually. He advised me the truck was under recall, could be purchased but couldn’t take possession until recall completed. I fully understood. Paul was fully aware we were driving 2 hrs to come check out the truck. When we arrived, he advises us that we CANNOT DRIVE THE TRUCK!!! We’re sure welcome to place a deposit, sign a contract to purchase, all without DRIVING THE CAR. Boy that sounds like a smart thing to do. In addition, the sticker on the window was clearly marked «X» warranty included, but WAIT just kidding… ignore what the sticker says, no warranty.
Not sure who does business with these less than professional, dishonest, used car salesman but it certainly won’t be this smart, informed comsumer! STAY AWAY!!!

They had a truck posted on their site and told to come in, but when I got their, after driving an hour and a half, they told me it had mechanical issues and that I didn’t want it. I guess I should have expected that.

We flew all the way from Cali to pick up our new car. Steve made this car buying experience really pleasant. When we arrived to the dealership the paperwork was ready and we were in and out in an hour. A couple days later the dealership and Steve reached out to ensure we had no problems at our local DMV after their title lady FedEx the documents over to our local DMV the next day.
We would definitely come back to Grey for our next car buying; no matter how far we are.

We went to grey chevy yesterday we were looking to trade in our jeep wrangler for a 14 Cruz marked at 15k. Steve called us today saying he got us approved on a 2015 cruz. But the base model. They offered us 1200 $ for our jeep. Which has 5k left on the loan. They had us financing over 25k total. So I called and told Steve we wanted to keep the jeep and just buy the 2014 cruz for 15k. He called back less than 20 minutes later saying that the bank. (GM) wanted us to trade in the jeep. I said no YOU want my jeep on the cheap yet roll almost the whole debt into the new loan. So in essence we would be paying for the jeep yet they would keep and sell it. Steve also admitted that the kbb was at least 3200 $. They must be used to young kids willing to sign anything. They made no attempt to even send a new loan to the bank. In fact they never sent the bank the car we asked them to finance. They sent the bank what they wanted to sell. He then told me I should be lucky to get a loan at all with only B+ credit. BTW 3200 was the low of trade in not private sale. They had a chance to sell a car for 15k then threw it away because they got greedy. Shame on you grey chevy. You are the worst kind of predatory lender. You lie and try to steal. I will be writing a much more detailed review and sending it to the kitsap sun. Disgusting lack of knowledge and values of cars. I will also be calling GM to verify what info of ours they sent them.

I don’t expect most car dealers to be 100% forthcoming, but I greatly take offense to outright lies slung at me in blind hopes I don’t know any better! I had the unfortunate experience of losing the key to my 2012 Chevy I did not purchase at this location… lost it while on vacation and was scrambling to get a spare made without going into debt over parking fees at the airport garage. This isn’t my first rodeo– I had a mobile locksmith with the capabilities to make a new laser-​cut key ready to go and all I required were the key codes for MY vehicle. The only reason I called Grey is that it is closer to me than my preferred dealer– who is in Tacoma– all in the interest of saving time and my parking costs. I know from past experience and also via confirmation from the locksmith that these codes are 100% able to be retrieved. All the dealer has to do is lookup the VIN in their database– print out the codes and done. Well the wonderful pillar of honesty I talked to via phone at Grey swore up and down they were «not allowed to do that, absolutely can’t! But– you could bring your car in and THEY can make the key for double the price of the locksmith! Oh, it’s locked in the airport parking? You’ll have to tow it and pay a small fortune then– because we can’t give out the codes. No, the locksmith is lying, no one can make laser cut keys… well, if you absolutely CAN“T have us make the key, we WILL give the key to „Belfair Bob“, we have a contract with them. No– only them…»
Needless to say I am not letting them shovel BS in my face– drove the extra 30 mins to the dealer where I purchased my vehicle– paid $ 20, was given my code printout (though admittedly they were glum about it), and was on my way. I love Gilchrist in Tacoma!
So, in summary– the employees at Greys are lying liars who lie. They are the exact money hungry dealers you are warned about to avoid. I have no respect for a company that has no respect for me or for simple honesty. I can certainly say I’ll never even bother calling them again, which means they lost a good deal of business– as my family has purchased a 2003, 2012, and 2014 Chevy in the last 2 years and soon my husband is going to be looking for a new car himself.
Also. no offense to Belfair Bob, but I don’t know who the heck they are and will not be using THEM either– even if only for the apparent racket they have set up with Greys in Port Orchard.

Purchased our Chevy Cruze from Mark Newcomer at Grey Chevrolet October 2013. The car shouldn’t have been sold to us as it was under recall for the half shaft repair. Fixed it the first time in November. 2^nd recall announced in March, they did not bother to call us. Instead we called them to have the car inspected and it needed the repair again. We were told by their service department it was completely safe to drive. LIE! The half shaft broke and sent my son and I backwards down a hill. They told lie after lie about the part and even forged our initial work order paperwork to make it appear as though the recall work had been done the day we bought it, sadly for them that was a Sunday and they had no service employees there that day. We have received NO apology, etc from them. Instead, rudeness, condescension, and just blatant disrespect of being ignored. The car NEVER should’ve been sold to us in October AND they NEVER should’ve allowed us to drive it off their lot after the 2^nd recall was announced. They obviously do not care about their customers. I absolutely DO NOT recommend them. I DO recommend Haselwood in Bremerton. They handled the repairs and were honest and up front with us the whole time. To me, this is about safety. Their attitude the whole time we have been dealing with this is one of, «who cares about you, we have tons of customers.» This is about the safety of myself, my spouse, and our children. They just didn’t care about that at all. It is heartbreaking really.

We stopped by here at about 6:30 (thirty minutes before closing) for a quick look at a used car they had. We stopped and looked at the new cars for a bit waiting for someone to come out until we finally went up to the door to find someone to help us. We told the guy at the door the car we wanted to see and he reminded us of the time and said «they’ll be there all weekend.» Okkkkaaay. That’s fine if they don’t want to take the time to sell us a car. They got the keys and we briefly looked through the inside and outside of the car we were checking out. We weren’t planning on doing anything that night anyways. On the way back to our car we started asking about the Chevy volt because we are looking into trading in our other car in the next year. The salesman didn’t seem to know anything about the car or didn’t care to talk about it. My general impression was that he just didn’t know much about it and what he did say didn’t inspire much confidence in his word.
We ended up leaving Grey Chevrolet and heading over to Parr Ford. They were awesome at Parr and gave us a great price on a small SUV. I won’t bother going back to Grey again.

This is a thankful «shout out» and positive review specifically to the Service Department.
I have also bought a new car at Grey and I will acknowledge it to have been a benign experience.
But the guys in service have taken care of my cars and trucks for years. They do excellent work, provide excellent customer service including excellent communications. I HIGHLY recommend their service department.
UPDATE: I bought a new Cruze from Grey this year. The process was easy. I brought $ 20k in cash. They had me out in 30 minutes. Excellent Service. They sales guy even came to our house to show the cars features to my daughter (her car)! Great service!

Scheduled work to be done on my Denali AND scheduled a service loaner for $ 35.00 for the day. Called them to say I was running 10 minutes late.
DBag who answered the phone (service manager) says «no problem on being behind, but your service loaner was given away two hours ago. If you need one, we will have to run you up to Enterprise to rent a car». WTF?!? Are you kidding me? I have this scheduled two weeks in advance and you give my loaner car away hours prior to my appointment?
Needless to say, I fumed for 15 minutes all the way down HWY 16 before driving by and giving them the one-​finger salute. I won’t ever go back there. Obviously there is some serious power tripping going on there and I despise being treated like the stupid woman. Never mind that I was going to look at getting into a new SUV. Cha-​Ching. Thanks service manager guy! You just cost Grey Chevrolet $ 60k

Grey Chevrolet has been doing right by us for 3years and counting. Save yourself the tears up in Bremerton and go down to Port Orchard for real neighborhood-​friendly service. The service department is skilled and friendly. Ditto for parts. Ask for Flip Grey by name for your next vehicle purchase, he’ll get you what you need. Flip actually listens to what you want and helps to match you with the right vehicle, not just push whats on the lot. Thanks to everyone at Grey Chevy for taking such good care of our truck and helping us with our new vehicle for 2011.
