Portside Collision is a Honda and Acura repair specialist, but we are capable of repairing all makes and models. We can handle anything from a minor scratch to a major accident, glass replacement and repairs accepting all major insurances. We also offer affordable out of pocket repairs. In addition, we can help with your lease return cleanups. With our Car-​o-​liner frame machine any frame repair is painless, and the paint finish comes out flawless in our semi-​downdraft spray booth. A perfect color match is always guaranteed with our PPG paint system.

the business was started in 2013 after leaving a high volume body shop (40 cars a week) that started to not put as much focus on customer satisfaction. Portside Collision has always had the customers needs first ahead of anything else.

Business Owner

The owner, Juan, went to school for Automotive Engineering at SUNY Farmingdale. From there he worked for 6 years at one of the largest insurance companies in the US and that is where he achieved I-​car platinum status and became ASE Master Collision certified. Being able to go from shop to shop allowed him to learn correct repair techniques. In 2007 he was given the opportunity to manage a large production style body shop. Juan states that the time he spent there was «priceless.» He mastered direct repair shop programs, averaging over 90% satisfaction. In addition he qualified that shop to become a Honda and Acura recognized repair facility because of the consistent quality and commitment to OE repair procedures and standards. With over 9000 cars repaired under his belt, he decided to open his own shop to better serve the individual customer. In a big shop the customer can be lost quickly. Now, he can personalize the repair according to the customer’s needs. No job is too big or small.

I went to every Auto Body shop in the area to get work done on my car, which I cherish. I was looking for a shop with experience and integrity. I needed to feel like I can trust them to do the job to my standards but still keep the cost reasonable as I was paying out of pocket.
Juan at Portside Collision is a diamond in the rough. Most times you come across shady body shops that try to squeeze every dollar they can out of you. Juan was such an upfront guy. He spent more time than he needed to discuss my issue and possible outcomes. He quoted me a price and stuck to it at the end of the job even though he had to put in a little more work than he expected. That’s unheard of.
I consider myself lucky to come across Juan and his establishment. He is an experienced Auto Body man with integrity that seeks to do right my his customers. He also does amazing work. I will bring all my auto body work to Portside Collision. You should too.

A+ Daughter dinged up my old truck. Fender, bumper uggh. Week before long weekend when we needed it to tow. Old truck not insured. Asked him to save money where he could. Juan and his crew got the job done in 2 days at a better price than quoted elsewhere. Absolutely worth checking with these guys.

After my vehicle had an «incident» due to a local shop negligence, Juan took care of every necessary step in order to have my vehicle towed to his body shop and fix the damage done to the car. I had previously known Portside Collision Center due to some interest on cosmetic work being performed. Therefore, at the time of the accident, it was a no brainer to contact them since they were known for their extraordinary quality and customer service. This explendid body shop went FAR AND BEYOND! their line of duty in order to provide the best outcome for the car and myself. Their work is not rushed in order to ensure the job gets done correctly while using OEM parts for the long lasting life of your car. Trust these guy’s with your vehicle, I did, and they are certainly the best!

This review comes late and I apologize to the guys at Portside Collision. Last year my parked car was hit by someone driving a U-​Haul truck with a Learner’s Permit. That was the first time that I ever had to put a claim in through my insurance company. Unfamiliar with the process, I called Juan at Portside Collision to get an idea of the car repair process. He was extremely pleasant over the phone and was kind enough to explain everything in detail. When I took my car in for him to assess the damage, without rushing me, he once again explained the process. I was pleased with his response and felt comfortable in leaving my car. Juan took me to Enterprise to get a rental, worked out the difference with the insurance company and the second claims adjuster, got original parts for my Jeep, completed my car before a snow storm was to hit and then returned the rental for me. It was such a seamless and hassle free process because of my insurance company and the guys at Portside Collision. The job was amazing and their customer service was superb. Having to deal with a car repair at the same time I was buying my first house would normally be a stressful situation, but I thank Juan for not making it so!!!

Was in an accident a few weeks ago. Luckily no one was injured but quite a bit of damage to my car. Decided to use Portside, since they came highly recommended from my cousin. So glad I went with them. Juan is super nice and a pleasure to work with. He clearly informs you step by step what is being done to the car and keeps you posted during the whole process. The quality of work done on the car was truly outstanding! I can’t imagine any customer every writing a bad comment on Portside Collision.

The guys at portside do an amazing job. The owner here is super nice and courteous. The out of pocket price I was quoted was more than fair. I got my car back within the estimated time, they did an excellent job on the new paint and they even cleaned the inside and washed the outside of my car and gave me a nice looking keychain for free. My car looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor when I picked it up. I picked the perfect place to trust with my BMW

Absolutely amazing. Someone backed into my XC90 and left. Insurance wouldn’t help enough and wanted to charge me way over the top. Came here off of a recommendation and meet Robert and Juan. They checked out the damage and priced it out very quickly and extremely fairly. They saved me so much money with the repair. Besides the great pricing you can’t put a price on the quality of the work they put into the job. They quoted me for 2 days and it was done in 2 days and even offered to drive me back and forth to pick up the finished product. I can’t thank you enough. Portside Collision’s quality of work and level of service is FANTASTIC.
My 2004 Acura TL was brought in for some bumper repairs and scratches on the rear
fender. In addition to making the agreed upon repairs the Portside team went way beyond the scope of the agreed upon repairs and essentially detailed my entire car.
They also cleaned the inside of my car… I could not be more satisfied with the quality of the workmanship.
They worked directly with my insurance company on my behalf and even had a rental car waiting for me when I dropped off my car. I would not consider using any other place for future repairs and have recommended them to friends and family.

I recently needed to have my car painted. I chose Portside to do the work after meeting Juan and his staff. Everyone in the shop was cordial, and I was given an excellent deal for the work to be done. Juan worked with me around my schedule to get the car in at my convenience; he could not have been more accommodating.
I was very pleased with the results. The work was of high quality and restored the car to as good as new condition in the areas that were affected. I would gladly recommend Portside to anyone I know in the area needing body work done on their vehicle without reservation.
