Good selection of unique beers — they do not sell wine.

Poor customer service. I have been driving from CT there every month for 30 years. I went on a Saturday at opening 9am and I had two cases of empties, We said is anyone available to take them the rude guy said NO, I said can you get someone he said 930, I said we drove from CT can you take them and he never even answered me. Now I spent 200 per month there and will not return, may not be a great customer service decision. Many other places to go, their loss

Port Chester Beer Distributors has the best selection of beer I have seen in a long time! Everyone I try something new at a bar, I look for it at PC Beer and they always have it. Even beers I had in South Carolina that were local there! The people that work their know their stuff and are always happy to help!

Great place, super helpful staff. They have so many beers to choose from. Definitely way beyond what you expect. You can build your own mix & match 6 pack! Great selection of micro/​imports. Awesome seasonal offerings.

There was a time when I lived near here and going back for a spot visit yesterday reminded me how much I miss easy access to this shop.
Now that my only regular alternative is Whole Foods, I can’t possibly complain about price. It’s a specialty shop — not a discount warehouse.
I favor Belgian ales and German lagers and I can always find an old dependable or a new brand or flavor. If my taste was oriented to US micros, I think I would have the same respect for the range of choices.
Sizes and textures? They have a massive list of kegs plus the normal assortment of cans, bottles and mini-​kegs. At the holidays, the spiced versions in large format are here.
Best beer store I’ve ever seen.

I’m going to be really critical since craft beer fans are very serious about their beer.
This place overall is really great and the concept is excellent. At the selection of beers is purely crazy and crazy good. They have everything from your typical garbage of bud light margarita chemical blend to rare finds from overseas.
However once you get in there and start picking around its hard to pick 1 six pack especially when most are over $ 10.00 so i went with choosing six different beers which then kept turning into 7 then 8…
Pricing:
Sometimes the labels are really good and tell you the name and price and price per bottle, other times theres nothing or just a 6 pack price. Then when you do the math on price per bottle vs the whole sixer, its cheaper to buy the one bottle. ???
Being from CT i also noticed that the prices were about $ 1-​$ 2 more than the stores here. So buying in bulk here offers no incentive.
Lastly when i got home and examined the bottles after pouring i noticed that several were past due their dates. Not by much but some were a few weeks and others were only a few days. The taste didnt seem off but the «nitro» sawtooth i had kinda lost its nitro ability.
I do look forward to going back, but will take what i learned and be better prepared. I hope this helps Unilocalers and the business in keeping it going strong.

This place is awesome. They have all kinds of beer and most of it is either Craft/​Micro or Imported with a limited selection on domestics. I go in there practically every month and just load up on beer. I’m always excited what they have new. A lot of their value packs are in the back portion, but they have a nice mix and match 6 packs and growlers. Staff is usually very friendly and willing to help you out if you’re looking for a specific beer or type of beer and will even help you carry the beer to your car to load it in.
I’ve even seen beers that just came out that’s already there on the shelves. Pretty awesome place if you ask me.

One of the best beer stores I’ve ever been to — huge selection with varying levels of rarities at good prices.
Clearly playing a border game, Port Chester has one of the largest selection of beers I’ve seen in one place — top 5 easily. Very strong craft beer, imported/​Belgian, and seasonal offerings. They have an entire 12-​foot, 5-​shelf high area just for seasonal beers!!!
And the breweries offered — if you can think of it (and it’s distributed in NY state), it’s there. Stone, Founders, Dogfish, Avery, it goes on and on. The cherry on top though is Bell’s from Michigan — didn’t know it was available in NY state yet!
Very reasonable prices too, mix and match 6-​packs, plus the generic macro beers from the big companies are available in the back too.
Growler fill station, a 40-​foot long aisle of bomber-​size bottles (1 side domestic, 1 side imported). .. this is just a pilgrimage-​worthy beer store. If you love good beer and can get here, it’s worth the trip!

Mmmmm… Beer. Very big selection. You have the option to build your own 6 pack if you want to sample different beers and a good place to fill your Growlers.

My eyes bugged out of my head and plopped onto the floor when I saw the aisles upon aisles of fantastic beer available at Portchester Beer Distributors. Rivals, probably surpasses, most of the regular places I hit up in the city. Not a hang-​out like many of those, Port Chester Beer is nevertheless worthy of a beer pilgrimage (brewgrimage?) if only for the rare and no-​longer-​brewed vintage items you have a good chance of turning up on their shelves. I’m lucky my credit card didn’t melt and that my liver hasn’t yet exploded after my last visit. You may not be nearly so lucky if you’re even half the beer fanatic I am. 100% worth going out of your way for multiple times, whenever you’re in «downstate» New York. I know you probably never do want to go there, and I sympathize, but if you have no choice but to visit your or your girlfriend/boyfriend’s parents or whatever, now you have a way of making it substantially more tolerable. Worked for me!

Hands down best beer store I’ve ever been too. Selection is out of this world, I’ve found some very hard to find beers here.
Love the make your own 6 pack option as well as the aisles of 25.4oz beers. I never want to drink the same beer twice again when I can come here and try so many new ones!
Oh and growlers. What’s not to love?

The selection doesn’t get better then at Port Chester Beer Distributors. You can build your own six pack with no limitations or buy singles of anything in the store. They also feature a growler filling station for 32oz or 64oz growlers. There are 7 or so taps to choose from with a rotating line up. The staff is very helpful with out being overbearing. This gives you a good opportunity to look around with out feeling pressure from the staff, but there is always someone around if you have a question or need a growler filled. Prices are good on the hard to find stuff and the growlers but can be a little expensive for the easily found selections.

Craft beer heaven. If you’re looking for a special beer that you can’t find at a normal liq store, this is probably your best bet. Aisles and aisles full of craft beers from around the world and regular domestic beers. If you don’t want to buy a six pack of the same beer, they also let you mix and match to create your own six pack… just pay the price of each beer.

Excellent, vast selection of beers from all over the world. They have my favorites (Delirium Tremens & Nocturnum) and boyfriends favorites (so many IPA’s), can’t ask for much more,
Employees were not so helpful or attentive, but they weren’t rude either.
Prices are pretty high, but many of the beers can’t be found anywhere else locally.
All in all, I’d go here again for my favorite beers and to find new beers to try.

Another bi-​weekly stop for me. With rows and rows of craft beer and a good selection of beers from around the world I constantly return to see what I can try next. The prices are fair and every once an awhile you see a rare bottle that isn’t easy to find anywhere else.
They also have growlers with a really great selection and they rotate the seasonal beers on time.
A must visit!
